I received an email from Coinbase stating that my recent transfer failed, and if I don't take action, they will initiate an automatic recovery in 5 days. I am urgently seeking assistance due to an employee scamming me of $[redacted] and not receiving confirmation of my $[redacted] wire transfer on August 25, [redacted]. Furthermore, on Sept. 17, an employee swindled me out of $[redacted] with Walmart Gift cards and manipulated my bank account. I have informed Brian Armstrong via email on 9/19 and 9/20 about this issue. I am in urgent need of a phone conversation to ensure a full refund of my account. Please contact me immediately at [redacted] or via email at "[redacted]" If I don't receive a prompt response, I will have to involve a lawyer. Your swift assistance in resolving the matter and providing answers is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My email is [redacted] A person claiming to work for Coinbase called and suggested that by depositing $2.35 into my account, I would receive the funds stolen by a person I've known for 7 years. Despite acknowledging Coinbase was not at fault, I contacted customer service where a different person, with an Indian accent, advised me to disregard the previous individual and deposit $10,[redacted] to get my money back in a week. Feeling wary having been scammed before, I seek urgent email assistance. I've previously explained the situation through emails, but over a year later, someone called with detailed account information and urged me to make a deposit. At 89 years old, with partial vision and hearing impairments, I struggled to navigate the phone options during the call. Desperate for clarity, I kindly request a prompt email response. Tony P.

On September 6, [redacted], someone stole and transferred our phone lines, gaining access to both of our Coinbase accounts. I have submitted around 20-25 support tickets and tried various phone numbers. Despite minimal computer-generated responses, I suspect the thieves altered the email and phone number linked to my account. I am certain Coinbase has the necessary logs to track this, but I am struggling to get through to a human. I am in urgent need of assistance. My account is linked to [redacted], and my husband's is [redacted]

My Coinbase and bank accounts were compromised, leading to a $[redacted] wire transfer for bitcoin that did not go through. I reported the incident to my bank, and they managed to stop the transfer. However, my Coinbase account was restricted due to the outstanding amount. Despite not being able to pay from my new account or debit cards, I initiated a request to settle the $17.08 balance once the bitcoin was recovered and sold. I also set up my Coinbase wallet to receive a $[redacted] bitcoin refund in progress. I am trying to locate the support staff member who was assisting me to resolve this issue and would appreciate speaking with them directly. Thank you.

My Coinbase account was hacked on 9/19. I received responses on 9/20 with case numbers #[redacted]0 and #[redacted]2. I promptly provided the requested information via email. Additional correspondence occurred on 9/23. I am seeking confirmation that my important data has been received. I have taken necessary security measures such as professional cleaning of devices, resetting passwords, and freezing the account. Please advise on further steps to resolve the issue. I kindly request a personal communication from the assigned representative to discuss the case's progress. Until then, please maintain the account freeze. Contact me at [redacted] or [redacted]. Thank you, James Allen.

Last night, I transferred just under USD $[redacted] to a friend via both her phone number and email address. She received notifications with links leading to opening a Coinbase account, which she doesn't want to do as she lacks the required I.D. Meanwhile, I've reimbursed her through PayPal. I was unaware that the recipient would need a Coinbase account, and now I'm unable to retrieve the funds. Contacting Coinbase by phone has been unhelpful.

I recently closed my Coinbase account, but I need documentation confirming the closure, not just to show a zero balance in my portfolio. I contacted a phone number that claimed to be Coinbase, but the call was lengthy. The person asked for various details like withdrawing and depositing from my bank account, conducting security checks, and requested a photo of my ID. After struggling to send a clear photo, I decided to end the call after about 3 hours. However, I was surprised to receive emails stating that $5,[redacted] was used to buy Bitcoin from my bank, even though the amount hadn't been deducted from my account. I am concerned and need assistance to cancel the transaction, revert everything to zero, and rectify the situation. Thank you.

This situation is becoming frustrating. I have been unable to access my account for 12 days despite following the necessary steps to resolve the issue. I received an email instructing me to call customer service, but upon calling, I was greeted with a recording that was unable to assist me. This has prevented me from depositing USD into my account. My bank confirmed they are not blocking any transactions, leading me to believe the issue lies with your end. I am unsure why this is happening and am looking for a resolution. Your claims of being quick and easy do not align with my current experience. I would appreciate it if a customer service representative could investigate this matter promptly and contact me regarding my account. Thank you. Patricia Theiss

I am experiencing two issues: 1. Since Friday, 09/24, I have been unable to access my account with the email [redacted] Despite receiving a message instructing me to reset my password for security reasons, I have not received an email with further instructions. I previously spoke to a support agent for over two hours on Friday to address this issue but still cannot login. Please contact me back at [redacted]. 2. I have another account, [redacted], which has been more functional. However, upon reviewing the transactions on this account, I have noticed discrepancies that do not reflect my activities. I would greatly appreciate clarification on this matter. Thank you. Sincerely, Jean Pierre Fartouh

I have a question about verifying my Coinbase account. My driver's license expired on 4/22/[redacted], just a few months ago, due to being in the hospital recovering from COVID. Can you accept my expired license temporarily until I renew it in two weeks after being discharged? I can provide selfies with my social card and expired license, and additional documents for verification. Please consider my situation and transfer this message to a manager for assistance.

I have been receiving only responses from automated systems, and I am hoping to find a helpful person who can assist me in recovering my account. My name is George Papastamatis, and I have been struggling to reach a real individual to help me recover my account containing approximately 2.15 ETH coins. The email associated with my account is [redacted], which I had to lock due to a suspicious activity alert from Coinbase. The notification was sent via text to [redacted], stating that my account was accessed by someone who changed the email and password. I have tried to reset my password without success. I am seeking assistance from an actual person rather than relying on the automated system. This money represents my savings, and I am eager to regain access to it. I have a new email to update my account to, and I kindly request an email to facilitate the password change process. Contacting me by phone would greatly aid in resolving this matter efficiently and confirming my identity. I prefer human assistance over automated responses. Thank you, George Papastamatis

I am unsure if this is the right contact regarding case #[redacted]76, where I have been dealing with a scam issue. After receiving instructions on reopening my account, I suspect the scammer is hoping I will do so to facilitate transferring my funds to their bank. To prevent this, I canceled the account. The scammer gained access to my Coinbase and bank accounts, purchasing primarily Bitcoin totaling $6,[redacted] from my checking account. They also breached my phone. If I reactivate my Coinbase account as indicated in a 2-week duration email, the scammer may discover it first. Is there an alternative method for Coinbase to transfer funds to my new account without alerting the scammer? I seek advice on how to proceed discreetly or a contact number for direct assistance. Thank you for your support - I did not receive a phone number previously.

I am having trouble transferring XLM from Coinbase to my Ledger Nano S. Everything is working fine, except my authenticator is not syncing with Coinbase. This problem is preventing me from sending funds or performing any other necessary tasks to resolve the issue. Every action requires the authenticator code, which I am unable to obtain. Coinbase does not offer a straightforward email option to assist with this issue. I am unsure how to contact someone who can help me resolve this.

On September 15, [redacted], my account was compromised. I received an alert from Coinbase about an email change, followed by a call from someone claiming to be a Coinbase security technician, instructing me to reset my password to "password01." After resetting, I discovered issues with 2-way verification and unauthorized transactions. Despite attempting to contact Coinbase, I couldn't resolve the issue due to a corrupted email and verification codes. Gemini has been more proactive in helping me, unlike Coinbase. I hope for a resolution as similar incidents occurred to thousands of customers earlier this year, and the promised cleanup didn't prevent my experience.

I have sent three emails to your help and support without receiving useful assistance. It seems like I keep getting automated responses. This is becoming very frustrating because it seems my previous email wasn't carefully reviewed. I followed steps 1-3 provided below from a computer to update my phone number on Coinbase but got stuck in step 4 as it requires my current phone number, which I no longer have or remember. I cannot provide the current number as I haven't used it in a long time and didn't save it. Please, take the time to read this and assist me accordingly. Thank you.

My phone was ported on 10/02/[redacted], and I attempted to secure my account at the Verizon store. Struggling to reach a live agent, I dialed the fraud alert number which prompted a message. Unfortunately, the SMS notification went to the now-ported number. While at the Verizon store, I used their Wi-Fi and observed my account balance drop from $[redacted],[redacted].35 to $[redacted],[redacted].83. Despite attempts, I have been unable to login since that day. On 10/07/[redacted], I called a number given by a lawyer and spoke with Trey, who mentioned that my funds were refunded. However, I still cannot access my account, and Trey informed me that the matter needs to be escalated. He mentioned waiting for an email, which I am still awaiting. I am eager to have my funds restored and regain entry to my coinbase account.

I attempted to send Ethereum to a new wallet on MetaMask, but the transaction is stuck with a "delayed" message. After attempting ID verification and waiting for 72 hours, the issue persists. The app message states, "we’re looking into it right now, your funds are safe." Viewing the transaction on Coinbase from a PC shows 0 confirmations and continuous delays, without a transaction hash. Checking the recipient wallet on the blockchain reveals no transfer history. Subsequently sending more money did not resolve the initial stuck transaction. Contacting Coinbase for assistance via phone and email was unhelpful. It seems my funds are trapped on Coinbase, as my total cash amount is less than the combined assets, and the app displays 0 Ethereum.

On August 30, I transferred $20,[redacted].49 to Pinance.io for trading my coins. I did my research, and it seemed legit. My account manager David Williams handled the trade from Coinbase to Pinance, increasing my account to $29,[redacted] before dropping back to around $20,[redacted]. On October 5, a woman called saying David Williams had left, and she would be my new account manager, which raised suspicions, so I ended the call. When I attempted to withdraw my funds later, they had disappeared. The company is supposedly located at 73 Exchange Place Suite #[redacted], NYC, NY [redacted], with the phone number 1-[redacted]. On Sunday, October 10, [redacted], I filed a complaint with Coinbase online. Today, someone claiming to be from Coinbase called about my complaint. They used my linked bank account to purchase $1,[redacted] of ETH without my authorization, even though there were insufficient funds in my account. This is the second time I have been scammed.

0.7 Bitcoin was taken from my wallet! I purchased 0.7 BTC and deposited them into my Coinbase wallet. However, the funds were later transferred to other wallets without my permission. When I attempted to reach out to their support team, they were unresponsive. I have sent multiple emails and have evidence of all correspondence. Given the recent reports of wallet breaches on the platform, I am reaching out through this forum to address the issue. I am adamant about wanting the return of the funds that were taken from my wallet.

I am having trouble receiving authorization emails from Coinbase (CB) for my computer. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps, but still, no emails are coming through to my Gmail account. Additionally, I am frustrated with having to re-authorize my device every time I sign in, especially when I only use one computer. I received a warning in May to confirm my information, but I can't access my account to do so. This ongoing issue has me considering changing companies. I have had failed attempts in the past to use my computer for trading. I am looking for a solution to this problem or advice on switching to a different platform. This issue has been persisting for months, and I am extremely dissatisfied with the service from CB.
