My name is Ellen Byrne. You suspended my account because of a complaint from Mindy Maxwell. I've been in the child care business for over ** years. I have owned * operated two licensed child care centers, and have worked with several families on I am currently working with two families, both of whom I have been with for over three years. This is what happened:* Since I work for * other families, I sent Mindy a schedule of my availability, to which she replied "Thanks, good to know". A week later, she texted me with a schedule that included several times I had indicated I was not available. I let her know this, and she was not happy. In response to a demanding text from her, I said I would see what I could do to try to meet her needs. That was a mistake. I should have just refused and referred her back to my availability schedule...because when I told her I had tried but just couldn't make it work, she became irate and badgered me with texts, never acknowledging that she was the one who had caused the entire problem by disregarding the availability schedule I had sent her. I never offered to 'ditch' another job - I said with adequate advance notice, I could likely rearrange my schedule if she required more * different hours. I try to be flexible to a client's needs whenever possible, but am not going to inconvenience families I have worked with for * years, just because another client is disorganized. As for the last part of her review, she put that in for shock value, not my words! My current families are both writing reviews for me. Please email me so I can send them to you. My account was unfairly suspended and I would like it reinstated.
