Back in January I booked a number of hotels via Booking.com for a trip to Scotland in August. Out of the * places I booked, * were cancelled by Booking.com, not by me. One was cancelled before we left and I managed to rebook by calling the inn directly. The Shakespeare Inn was cancelled with no notification from you. The third was cancelled and I rebooked via TripAdvisor. When we returned from our trip, I called Booking.com to register a complaint. I spoke with an agent named Paulo on ** ***** at *:** a. m. When he offered no assistance or even an apology, I asked to speak to someone else higher up. He said there was no one higher up than he. I asked for his employee I D number and he said he did not have one. I asked repeatedly for some sort of explanation. He said I was the one who cancelled, which is not true. Then he said it was a colleague who cancelled. And there was nothing he could do. *The * hotels that you cancelled were:*Shakespeare Inn, Kendal *******Lothlorien, Fort Williams *******Hotel Broughty Ferry, Dundee ****** *The response from your agent was totally unprofessional, so now I add this to a list of reasons not to use your service ever again and will advise others to do the same. *I expect a response to this email shortly.
