I sent emails trying to get the refund of the charge for a stay*service NEVER used in the hotel ... March **th I made a reservation nr, ********** pin code: **** name: Curtney R.G. Kwidama via booking.com for *days stay from March **rd thru March **th at New West Inn Amsterdam. March **th I received a call that the trip is cancelled, which I did not have to travel and immediately I made the cancellation. I received a confirmation that the reservation nr. ********** is successfully cancelled. On April *th I was very surprised to notice on my monthly statement of Master Card that on March **st I was charged for the amount of USD ***.**.This is just a day after I cancelled and two days before I supposed to check in at the hotel. I called at the hotel and mr. Daniel the person I spoke to told me to send an email. I followed his advice and got a reply that they won't refund the money. For me it is very strange that I am charged for a service NEVER received. I never showed up at the hotel because the trip was cancelled.*Whatever I tried, up to this date I never got my money back. This is the reason that I am writing to you begging your intermediation for my refund of the amount of USD ***.**.*The refund can be deposited at the Maduro & Curiel's Bank in Curacao on the Master Card account nr. ****-****-****-****.*I like to thank you very much in advance for you intermediation and look forward to the transaction.*Yours Faithfully.
Dishonesty to lose money this way. I can hardly believe that my reservation had an obstacle to prevent other client to use the service.
Showing that the cancellation took place within ** hours period. Charging my account took place the date after I cancelled the reservation and two days before the reservation date.
It was my first contact with booking.com. I have no travel experience* so I have never been a customer before
Not really. Only sending emails.This is something very frustrating to give away money I worked hard for it and beyond without enjoying a trip and a stay.
