I'm not a B of A acct holder, but have a possible fraudulent attempt to use my ID to obtain a Cash Rewards Mastercard Card. or is it a scam? received phone call from ***-***-**** supposedly the B of A fraud Dept. The rep used a reference * ********** for the case. Did not ask for any of my info. Said that the applicant had all my ID already. I went to my local police dept. The chief is suspicious that even the phone call re someone using my ID to apply for the above card is a scam. I want to know if any of the information I have provided actually came from the B of A fraud dept, was there an actual attempt to obtain the Mastercard in my name, is the phone * a B of A fraud dept * and doe the reference * noted above mean anything. If this is not the correct way to contact your security personnel please refer to the appropriate office. I have tried to reach a real person, but as a non B of A acct holder, I have not acct. *, phone ID *, etc but a concerned citizen who may be the victim of fraudulent behavior on someone's part. **Charles L.
