Get the Estate Division to transfer the funds from the CD to my brother Mark's savings account as listed on the beneficiary's letter of instruction that the Estate Division has in their possession. ... My brother, Mark, is beneficiary on one of Mom’s BofA CDs that is “payable on death” and I am Mark's conservator. Mark and I share a checking and savings account. We faxed the completed and notarized beneficiary letter of instruction to the BofA Estate Division, but they refuse to release the funds stating that they need to talk to Mark. I explained that I am Mark's conservator, and my name is on his BofA checking and savings accounts where we want the funds to be transferred, but the Estate Division refuses to make the transfer. Mark called the Estate Division today at *** ***-****, but he was unable to answer the same questions they asked me earlier today. We keep going around in circles with the BofA Estate Division and I need someone to step in and help get this resolved.
This is frustrating because my brother went to the trouble of getting the letter of instruction notarized and faxed back to the Estate Division.
I want the Estate Division to transfer the funds to my brother's savings account as specified on the letter of instruction that they received from him.
Thinking of going to * on your side about BofA's lousy customer service.
