If you have a problem with WhatsApp not delivering some of the messages you send, you probably want to get the problem fixed as quickly as possible. After all, WhatsApp is the preferred way for many people to stay in touch. There are several things you can try that could fix the problem. Most of them are pretty easy to do.
WhatsApp is straightforward to use, but sometimes things still go wrong. For example, if your WhatsApp messages aren't getting delivered, you may be able to fix the problem fairly quickly. Here are some things you can try.
You might as well start with the old standby; it's amazing how many problems this can clear up. Powering your phone off could clear out whatever data in whatever cache is causing the problem.
It could also just be a matter of having a bad connection. If your connection strength is deficient, the problem could just come from losing the signal when you tried to send. Make sure you have a good signal before sending a message to fix this problem.
If restarting your phone didn't work, you may be able to achieve the same effect by specifically clearing out the WhatsApp data. It's pretty easy to do on an Android device. All you need to do is go to Settings, then Apps, then WhatsApp, and then select the Clear the App Data option. There's no easy way to do this on other devices, so you'll have to uninstall the app and then install it again. That should have the same effect.
You can experience delivery problems if you never completed verification. To fix this, start WhatsApp and respond to the verification request by entering your phone number and then entering the code WhatsApp sends you.
You might have accidentally blocked the person you tried to message, perhaps while trying to block someone else. If nothing else has worked so far, it's worth looking at the list to see if that's the problem.
Another solution that may work occasionally is turning the airplane mode on, waiting a few moments, and then turning it off again might solve the problem.
If you need help to resolve this issue, you can contact a WhatsApp representative on the WhatsApp help forum. Unfortunately, WhatsApp customer service has no phone number, help chat, or email you can use.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like WhatsApp in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What Do I Do If My Message Was Sent but Not Delivered on WhatsApp? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
