Due to a technical glitch or human error, Virgin Media accounts may become suspended. But customers can recover their account in just a few minutes — once they correctly enter their email address and password on the website's home page. Customers will have to prove the legitimacy of their accounts. After this, they can log into their Virgin Media accounts and use them however they want.
Have you ever been in a situation where you've lost access to your Virgin Media account? Reset your username and password to recover your account if you forgot them. This option only applies to customers who have registered an account with Virgin Media in the past. In either case, here are steps to recover your account.
The first step is to navigate to the Virgin Media website.
Once you confirm Virgin Media has locked your account, select Account Recovery. You will get a prompt to choose from two options depending on the circumstances of your account lock: I Have Lost My Password, or I Have Lost My Username.
The next step is to enter your email address. After you click Next Step, Virgin Media will send email to this address. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder.
If you have lost your Virgin Media account password, then here are the steps to recover it:
When you click the Next step button, you will go to a page where you can enter your username and password. The next page will show the summary of changes that you need to make for your account to recover successfully. It also has two buttons:
Click on Security Question and answer your security question in the text box. Click Continue.
You will receive an email with instructions on how to reset your password. If you don't receive this email, contact customer service.
Select Change Password from the drop-down menu once you log back into your account. Another page will appear where you can change your password. Your password should be at least eight characters long and include a combination of letters and numbers.
Confirm it to let Virgin Media know that the new password is correct.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Virgin Media in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our How Do I Recover My Virgin Media Account? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
