Ticketmaster is a ticket provider for concerts, events, and sports games. Customers are able to purchase tickets online, over the phone, or in person. The American company was founded in 1976 and now operates on an international scale.

Ticketmaster has a relatively strict no-refunds policy. However, there are some exceptions. You are able to ask for a refund if your events are rescheduled, postponed, or canceled. (The US Open and MLB games are exceptions to this rule.) Additionally, if you purchased ticket insurance during your checkout and can't attend for one of the reasons that are covered by the insurance policy, you'll be able to get a reimbursement for 100% of your ticket price.

How to Request a Refund Online for Postponed or Rescheduled Events

If your event is postponed or rescheduled, you'll be notified by Ticketmaster of the changes, via phone or email. Your tickets will automatically be eligible for the new date and time. If you cannot make the new date or time, and refunds have been approved by the artist or performer, then your Ticketmaster online account will have a refund option. Follow the steps below to see if you can request an online refund for your event.

  3. You can sign in to your account with your email address and password.

  6. Choose the event you want a refund for and click on it by selecting 'See Details.'

  7. Select 'Refund.'

  8. Choose the tickets you would like refunded.

Refunds for Canceled Events

When an event is canceled, Ticketmaster automatically issues a refund for all tickets. No action is needed from the customers.

  1. You'll be notified via email or phone that your event has been canceled.

  2. Your refund will be processed and deposited onto the same method of payment you used for purchase. Note that any UPS fees are not refunded.

  3. Refunds will take approximately 7-10 business days after you've been informed the event has been canceled.

Event Ticket Insurance Claim

Ticketmaster offers its customers the option to purchase ticket insurance. Only outlined circumstances are approved for ticket insurance claims.

If you have purchased ticket insurance, you will need to file a claim online at www.EventTicketProtection.com or contact the Allianz Claims Office via phone.
