How Do I Transfer Funds to My Robinhood Account?

If you have a Robinhood account then you will probably want to transfer money into it from time to time. To transfer it from a bank account, you must first link that bank account with your Robinhood account. You can also transfer money from another brokerage using an ACATS transfer.

If you have a Robinhood account then you're going to need to transfer money into it from time to time. Fortunately, it's pretty easy to do.

Linking Your Accounts

To transfer money out of your bank account and into your Robinhood account, you first need to link those accounts. To do so online, follow these instructions:

  1. Click the Account option.
  2. Choose Add New Account.
  3. Look for your bank in the common banks list or use the search tool.
  4. Select your bank.
  5. Enter your bank's login information.
  6. Click on the bank account to link it.

To do so with the Robinhood app, use these instructions:

  1. Tap on the Account option.
  2. Pull up the menu icon.
  3. Select Transfers.
  4. Select Linked Accounts.
  5. Choose Add Account.
  6. Look for your bank in the common banks list or use the search tool.
  7. Tap on your bank's name.
  8. Enter your bank's login information.
  9. Tap on the bank account to link it.

Transfer Money from Your Bank

To transfer money into your Robinhood account using the app, use these instructions:

  1. Tap on the person icon.
  2. Tap on the 3 bars icon to open the menu.
  3. Tap on Transfers.
  4. Select Transfer Money.
  5. Enter the amount you want to transfer.
  6. Select your bank account.
  7. Tap on your Robinhood account.
  8. Review the transfer information.
  9. Tap on Transfer.

To transfer money from your bank online, use these instructions:

  1. Click on the person icon.
  2. Click on the gear icon.
  3. Choose the Transfers option.
  4. Click Transfer Money.
  5. Enter a transfer amount.
  6. Click on the From and To accounts.
  7. Review the transfer information.
  8. Click on Transfer.

The transfer will take up to 5 business days to reach your Robinhood account.

Transferring Money from another Brokerage

You can also transfer money in from an account at another brokerage. To do so, contact a Robinhood representative and tell them that you want to initiate an ACATS transfer from your other brokerage. Robinhood will reimburse you for any transfer fees from that other brokerage, up to $75 for transfers of at least $7,500.

If you need help transferring money into your Robinhood account, contact a Robinhood customer service representative. You can only do so on the help forum, though, as there are no other contact options for customer service.
