How Do I Cancel an Order on Overstock?

Overstock's business model is to process and ship orders as quickly as possible. Once an order placed with Overstock is processed, it is turned over to the Overstock warehouse and can no longer be canceled. This usually takes no more than 30 minutes, and it can take as little as 10 minutes. Because of this, if you want to cancel your Overstock order, you have to move fast.

Overstock's Cancellation Policy

  • Orders that have been processed for shipment cannot be canceled.
  • No refund will be given for coupons used to purchase a canceled order.
  • Refunds for canceled orders will be given in the same form of payment that was used for the purchase.
  • If a new Club O membership was purchased with the order, you must cancel the entire order, not just pat of it.
  • If the order was purchased with a gift card, you can only cancel the order if the gift card is still valid.

How to Cancel Your Overstock Order

If the cancellation option is still available, you can either cancel the entire order, or you can cancel certain items while still allowing the rest to ship (with the one exception mentioned above).

  • Go to Overstock's home page.
  • Click on the My Account link at the top right of the page.
  • Log in to your account.
  • Click on Overview.
  • Click on Orders and Returns.
  • If there is no Cancel Order button, the order has already been processed for shipping and you can no longer cancel it.
  • If you want to cancel your entire order, click on the Cancel Order button located beneath the order date. If you want to cancel a specific item, click on the Cancel Item button located next to the item description.
  • Click on the Submit Cancellation button. A confirmation screen should appear giving the details of your canceled order.

If you have an unexpected problem in trying to cancel your order, you can get in contact with Overstock's customer support services. They have a phone help option and a help forum.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for Overstock.com Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
