Will My Stimulus Check be Put on My Jasckon Hewitt Card?
The United States government gives stimulus checks to taxpayers during tough economic times. For instance, stimulus checks were offered in 2008 when the country was faced with a financial crisis. Also, they were offered early this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Taxpayers are supposed to spend this money as this increases retailers and manufacturers' revenue and hence improving the country's economy.
For you to receive a stimulus check, you need to have a social security number and be independent. Your salary should be between $75,000 and $99,000. For every $100 above $75,000, there will be a $5 reduction. For married people who file their returns jointly, their salary should not be less than $150,000. Joint taxpayers receive up to $2400. You will receive half of what joint taxpayers will receive if you are a single taxpayer. You will also receive additional money for your children if they are independent and their age is less than 17 years. Each child will be assigned around $500. Stimulus checks are directly deposited to people's prepaid card accounts.
The bank account information provided during the previous tax return filing exercise will be used. However, you can update your prepaid card number on the IRS portal in case of any changes. Follow these steps when providing your prepaid card number.
Will My Stimulus Check Be Put On My Jackson Hewitt Card?
A Jackson Hewitt card does not have a pre-set spending limit. However, there is an amount that you are expected not to go beyond when it comes to your expenditures. If you overcharge the card, it will be shut down until you make your payments. You need to pay the balance charged on your Jackson Hewitt card monthly.
Jackson Hewitt does not know the timing of stimulus checks. Therefore, if you qualify for a stimulus check, it will not be put on your Jackson Hewitt Card. Instead, it will be put on the prepaid card which you used in your previous tax filing process. If you only have a Jackson Hewitt card, your funds will be deposited to Republic Bank. The tax account that will appear on the IRS portal will have a zero at the end. Once in the Republic Bank, the funds will be disbursed to the bank account which your last tax refunds were disbursed to.
Republic Bank is likely to have your personal details if you had received funds through it in the past. However, you need to contact Republic Bank if you have changed your name and address after the last transaction that you did through the bank. The information will be updated, and you will receive your stimulus check.
