Setting a Bill Auto Payment With JP Morgan Chase

A budgeting habit is essential for keeping your finances in check, and setting an auto bill pay can help handle the payments better. This time saver is suitable for individuals in a cash-positive position. As a client of JP Morgan Chase, you can set up an auto payment on a bill through these steps:

1. Log Into Your JP Morgan Chase Account

You must log into your account to access the online banking services offered by JP Morgan Chase. Google the company website and log into your account using your username and password.

2. Navigate to the “Bill Pay” Section

After logging into your account successfully:

  • Head to the menu tab on your account dashboard.
  • Click it to open a dropdown menu.
  • Find the bills and payments section from the options provided, and proceed by clicking on “Bill Pay.”

This opens up a new page to set up your bill payments.

3. Add a Payee

Skim the Bill Pay section to find the “Add a Payee” button. Clicking this button lets you set the individual or company you’d like to receive the automatic payment. Common bills include insurance, utilities, cable or streaming packages and housing. You must provide accurate information about the payee to avoid errors during transactions.

You can obtain payee details directly from the payee or use previous receipts to pay the bills if you’ve made past transactions. Review and ensure that the payee details are accurate before proceeding. JP Morgan Chase has a verification process to ensure the payments are directed to the correct recipient.

4. Set up the Auto Bill Payment

After verifying the payee information, the next step is to set up the Auto Bill Payment. Toggle back and navigate to the bill pay section and find the option for setting up recurring payments. This feature allows you to schedule an automatic payment for your bills. Click “Set Up Auto Payment” to proceed to the next step.

5. Choose the Payment Frequency and Amount

This step allows you to set the amount that should be paid each time and the payment frequency. When choosing the payment frequency, consider the payment’s due date. You must also select the payment source from which the payment amount will be deducted. JP Morgan allows you to use a savings account, checking account or credit card. Choose your preferred payment source and follow the prompts to link your selected account.

6. Review and Confirm the Auto Payment Details

It’s crucial to review all the details you’ve provided before finalizing the automatic bill pay setup. Double-check to ensure accurate payee information, amount and payment frequency. This will also help prevent potential issues interfering with the auto payment setup. Click “Confirm” once you’re satisfied with the information. JP Morgan Chase will provide a confirmation message that includes the automatic bill payment details, and you should keep it for future reference. Contact JP Morgan Chase customer support for assistance if you encounter any problems during the procedure.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for JPMorgan Chase Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
