How Do I Change My Dashlane Login Email Address?

If you have a Dashlane account but you would like to change the email address associated with it, here is a quick step by step guide that explains how.

You are a Dashlane customer and you like to manage your passwords, payments, and personal information on the platform. However, you would also like to update the contact email address that information and updates are sent to.

The initial email address that you used to set up your Dashlane account cannot be changed and will forever remain your login email and Dashlane ID. However, the email through which Dashlane contacts you can be changed. Fortunately, this process is simple via the Dashlane website.

Here's how.

Visit The Dashlane Website Homepage:

Once you have arrived at the Dashlane website homepage selected the 'login' button in the top righthand corner. Clicking this button will transfer you to the sign-in page.

Use your original email address (your Dashlane ID) and password to then sign in to your account.

Select Tools from the Menu Bar:

If you have managed to log in to your account you should be able to see a tab labeled 'tools' that is placed on the navigation bar at the top of your page.

Once you have selected the 'tools' tab a drop-down menu will appear. From the drop-down menu click on the 'preferences' button, which will open a new page.

Now click on the 'account' tab.

Unlock the Account Panel:

For your safety and security, your account panel will appear locked. It is easy to gain access to the panel by clicking on the lock icon.

Once you have selected the lock icon you will be given the option to enter your master password. Next, enter your master password to be granted access to your account settings, where you will be able to change your email address.

If you have forgotten your master password you must reset your it before you will be able to change your email address.

Change Your Email Address:

If you know your master password and have gained access to your account settings you can now go ahead and change your contact email address.

To do so locate the 'email address' text box, this should be positioned just above the 'cell phone' text box. Now, enter the new email address that you would like to use.

Once you have chosen and entered your new contact email address, click the lock icon again to save and secure your settings.

Remember, this will only change the email Dashlane uses to contact you, your login ID email address will not change.
