How Do I Cancel My Dashlane Account?
Dashlane is a service that offers a convenient way to keep your password information, payment information, and email information all in a secured database. By adding the Dashlane browser extension, you can automatically fill out website sign-in information, online payment information, and keep all of your data safe and accessible.
Dashlane is a paid service, so you may decide to cancel your Dashlane account membership before it's renewal. Dashlane offers a 30-day refund policy if you are unhappy with their service. Once you have passed the refund policy date, you will have Dashlane's service until your premium membership has expired. In this guide, you will learn how to cancel your Dashlane account and remove the browser extension from your computer.
Canceling a Dashlane Account
- Log into your Dashlane account on the Dashlane website
- Click the three-lined symbol in the upper-left corner of the Dashlane homepage to open the main menu.
- At the bottom of the main menu, click My Account with the gear/wheel symbol next to it
- Another menu will appear on the right-hand side of your screen to update your Dashlane account.
- On your account menu, choose the first option that is Account Summary
- You will be allowed to change the status of your Dashlane Premium membership that you can either choose to cancel or extend.
- Once you have canceled your Dashlane membership, your membership will not auto-renew. Your current Dashlane membership will still be active until the next auto-renewal period.
Once you have completed these steps, you have successfully canceled your Dashlane account subscription. If you do not want any of Dashlane's features, such as the browser extension, you can quickly eliminate the extension from your computer.
Removing the Dashlane Browser Extension
- In the upper-right corner of your browser, right-click the Dashlane logo on the extensions menu
- Click the option on the drop-down menu that says Remove this Extension
- You may also remove the Dashlane extension in your browsers Manage Extensions menu.
