Go to the AT&T website.
Find the AT&T menu on the homepage. It's represented by three lines in the upper-left corner of the website.
Click on the three horizontal lines to expand the AT&T menu.
Find the "Support" header within the AT&T menu.
Look for the "Bill & account" line directly below the "Support" header. It has a right-pointing arrow to its right.
Click on the right-pointing arrow to the right of "Bill & account," which will take you to the "Bill & account" sub-menu.
Find the "Account" section, which is just below the "Bill & payments" section.
Within the "Account" section, find the "More account help" link.
Click on "More account help," which will take you to the "Bill & account support" page.
Look for the "Browse topics" section partway down the "Bill & account support" page.
Since you want to switch from hard copy billing to paperless billing, look for the "Billing & payments" section that says "Explore ways to view and pay your bill and understand your bill charges" below the header.
Click on the down-pointing arrow to the right of "Billing & payments." Doing so will expand the section.
Find the "View & pay bill" sub-header within the "Billing & payments" section.
Click on the down-pointing arrow to the right of "View & pay bill" to reveal blue additional sub-headers that correspond to the header.
Within the "View & pay bill" section, look for the blue sub-header that says "AutoPay & paperless billing."
Click on the "AutoPay & paperless billing" sub-header to reveal the links that pertain to the topic.
Below "AutoPay & paperless billing," look for the "Sign up for and manage paperless billing" link.
Click on the "Sign up for and manage paperless billing" link, which will open a page of the same name.
Read the instructions on the "Sign up for and manage paperless billing" page.
Follow the instructions on the page to sign up for paperless billing.
