I recently experienced the same issue. I contacted them via email for clarification but haven't received a response yet. They abruptly cancelled my account and mentioned a refund. I also have not violated any policies. I suspect my ex may be involved somehow. It's concerning as it feels like an invasion of privacy. I recently discovered that my bank information was compromised, prompting me to check my bank statement thoroughly. The bank advised me to dispute any unauthorized charges and contact credit reporting agencies. My account is currently on hold for reimbursement purposes only. I am unaware of the Zoosk account number linked to the charges from October [redacted] through March 5, [redacted], as I did not make these transactions. I am requesting the account to be closed and reimbursement for the fraudulent charges over the past 6 months. I have filed a police report regarding this matter. I would like to start using my previous email, [redacted] Although I was advised to register with a new email, my old one keeps appearing in the email address bar whenever I open the Zoosk app. I am experiencing constant password reset requests with my new email, [redacted] I find the instant login uncomfortable due to the small font size, as I only have an iPhone and struggle to read the letters. I am unable to follow instructions well and prefer to go back to using my old email, changing the password to avoid this looping issue. I received a prompt from Zoosk to reactivate my account. Unfortunately, without reading it thoroughly, I mistakenly hit the activation button. After realizing my error, I immediately canceled my membership yesterday. I was shocked to discover the amount Zoosk deducted from my bank account. I suspect my account has been hacked. I have changed my password twice and now require a reset link. I have noticed that emails are being sent from my account without my knowledge. Below is a sample of the message that recipients have been receiving, allegedly from me, since early this morning.

"I wanted to contact you on behalf of my close friend. Although it may sound unusual, my friend Christopher appears to have taken an interest in your profile. He is an entrepreneur and an engineer in the Petrochemical and renovation construction industry. He came across your profile while exploring online dating and found it intriguing. If you are open to it, he is keen to connect with you. He is not a user of Zoosk and would like to share more information and a picture with you. I subscribed to Zoosk for a few months in [redacted] and met a great guy. Unfortunately, things didn't work out and now I'm thinking of re-subscribing. However, a lot of the profiles I see are the same as a year ago. The guy I was with recently is still on there, with a slightly different bio. I've noticed some profiles showing as "viewed" X minutes or days ago, including my ex's profile. I'm concerned that the site might be managed by bots and not real users. Before I re-subscribe, I have two questions:
1) Are most of the profiles still the same people from a year ago?
2) Is the "viewed you X minutes/days ago" feature real or managed by bots?
Any help would be appreciated.

I noticed a charge on my bank statement from Zoosk. When I logged into my account, I realized I was billed for March and April, even though I haven't used the account since [redacted]. I'm confused about why I was charged as the account has been inactive for a while. Surprisingly, there are two charges on the statement. I suspended my account due to encountering several fake profiles on the website. One day, a Zoosk member with no name, but the email *****@***.com, messaged me and suggested I deactivate my Zoosk account. During our private conversation, which was not offensive but suspicious, I only shared my phone number. After a few days, I received an email from someone claiming to have private information about me and demanded a ransom to prevent them from sharing it with my contacts. I sought help from McAfee, who found no malware on my computer but advised against paying. I had multiple accounts on your site but deactivated them over 3 months ago. I keep receiving notifications that women are interested in me, causing confusion with the lady I want to marry that I met on your site. After reading the disclaimer that mentioned I could cancel within 24 hours if unsatisfied, I contacted customer service approximately two hours after signing up to request an immediate cancellation. I was surprised to find that the website only had a few actual members available for communication. I was under the impression that I could cancel within 24 hours and receive a refund. I was promised six months ago that my account would renew at 50% off the 6-month Subscription, which should have been $37 or less. I recall the representative mentioning $31 or $32. However, my card was charged the full price without any regard to the agreed discount. I have decided to permanently cancel my subscription and request an immediate refund to my debit card.
