I have been struggling to reach a customer service representative. On November 26, [redacted], I was scheduled to fly on UA [redacted] from Edmonton to Denver, then to Washington and finally to Accra, Ghana. When I arrived at the Edmonton airport three hours early, I was informed that my flight was canceled due to bad weather in Denver. Another agent later explained that the flight was actually not canceled but mentioned a name discrepancy on my ticket, preventing me from boarding. After speaking with a third agent who found no issue with my name, I was offered another flight, but due to the morning's complications, the agent decided against it to avoid any problems with SA Airlines. While SR Airlines has refunded their portion of the ticket three weeks ago, I have been facing challenges in obtaining my refund from UA. As a senior, my daughter purchased the ticket for me, and I simply want to reimburse her for the expenses incurred during this ordeal.

While traveling on December 14th, our flight had a mechanical issue, and we had to stay overnight in Chicago. We were treated well, and we appreciate it. We took an early flight to San Francisco, only to find out that the flight was canceled again, requiring us to stay another night and fly out the next day. This situation caused my wife and me to miss a day of work each. We were hoping if there is a possibility of receiving compensation in the form of travel miles. Thank you. Scott & Melodie Swanton

I am a nursing professor traveling back to the states with 5 students from Miami to Chicago. Due to bad weather in Chicago on Saturday, we received an email stating that we can change our flight for free. We would like to change it to Sunday, Jan 12 at 9:45 pm. I am unable to make outgoing calls in Costa Rica, so please contact me via email. The passengers are Alyssa Zydorowicz, Emily Korb, Mariah Kenny, Amanda Bargiel, Paayal Patel, and myself, Professor Susan Schneider. I am also unable to reach Fellowship Travel at [redacted]. The invoice number is [redacted], and the travel agency's account number is [redacted]. We would appreciate any assistance since we are nursing students who have been treating patients all week and staying an extra night in Miami would be a much-needed respite before heading back to the cold. Thank you.

On January 7, my United flight was canceled. I was re-booked to fly from San Francisco to Hong Kong on United [redacted] departing on January 8. United representatives assured me that my luggage was re-routed. Originally, I had a connecting flight from Hong Kong to Taipei and then to Denpasar on Eva Air. Due to the cancellation, my new connecting flight out of Hong Kong was on Cathay Pacific, CX [redacted] on January 10 at 9:20. Upon arriving in Denpasar, I found my two suitcases missing. If they reached Hong Kong, there is a possibility they might be sent on the next flight to Denpasar. I am worried that the United or Eva Air staff in San Francisco might have mistakenly sent my luggage on the original routing to Taipei and then to Denpasar. As there are no United or Cathay Pacific representatives in Denpasar, I urgently need to speak with someone at United regarding my lost luggage.

I flew from Honolulu connecting to Frankfurt on January 4th. Unfortunately, my suitcase was opened at the seams, and several items were taken. These included my new toiletry case filled with makeup, medications, and personal items, as well as shoes and shirts. This is the first time I have experienced something like this. It seems deliberate, as they targeted the seam to avoid notice. My suitcase is almost new, used only three times, so the condition was good. I am upset that despite paying higher fares for flights with reduced services, even my belongings are not safe from theft. It is disappointing that incidents like this can occur. I had higher expectations from this airline. Thank you, S. Roeder.

Hello, I have contacted United Airlines three times via email, but I have not received any assistance. When I traveled to Belize in December [redacted], United incorrectly charged me for my carry-on baggage. Upon my return, instead of refunding the amount to my credit card, they issued a $[redacted].00 voucher, which I feel was done intentionally, assuming I would not use it and they would keep the money. Now, as a widow on a fixed budget, I cannot afford to add more money to travel somewhere soon, and the voucher expires tomorrow. I kindly request United to extend the voucher until the end of this year. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you, M. E. Pattico-Dixon

I need assistance with a travel booking issue. Initially, I booked a trip from Manchester to LA with Thomas Cook. Due to a lack of communication from Expedia, I believed my holiday was canceled and booked the same trip through Expedia for a different date. Later, I found out my original holiday was still valid, leaving me in a difficult financial situation. Both companies have said I cannot adjust or refund either booking. I decided to travel on the original date (23rd June) and return on the last flight (5th July) but Expedia informed me that missing the flight on the 30th June would cancel my return flight. I am not seeking a refund and have paid for all seats already. I kindly request an exception to use the flights on 23rd June from Manchester to LA and on 5th July from LA to Manchester. This situation is causing me a lot of anxiety and stress; I am a student who saved up for this dream holiday for my boyfriend, but it has turned into a nightmare. I have had panic attacks and had to resume medication due to the distress this has caused. Your understanding and help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Megan S.

I would like to report an issue I encountered while booking a first-class flight for myself and my wife with United Airlines. On January 14, I called United and spoke to David Shaw regarding flights [redacted] to Palm Beach and [redacted] returning to Newark for a total of $1,[redacted]. However, I was charged $1,[redacted] with an additional charge of $[redacted] to ACR, which I later found out is an agency fee. I believe this is fraudulent as I was not informed of this additional fee during the call. I suspect that United might be involved in this scheme by allowing agents to mislead customers into paying extra fees. My confirmation number is o3w713, and I hope to receive a prompt resolution. You can reach me at my email [redacted] Thank you. - Ed O'Dowd

I have been struggling for over three hours to book a direct flight from SFO to Tampa, FL, and back. Despite having all the necessary airline details, I faced issues with the website. After getting assistance from customer service, I managed to secure a reservation under A0TC75 with E-TICKET NUMBER-[redacted][redacted]. I specifically requested an aisle seat, but it was not assigned to me. In addition, the ticket seems to be charged to an American Express card, although I used my Mileage Plus card. I have already spent considerable time trying to resolve these issues with customer service representatives who are struggling with slower computers.

To Whom It May Concern, I am Don S. from Cody, Wyoming. I need to attend a funeral in Billings on February 4th as a pallbearer for my brother. When I called United Airlines at [redacted]-UNITED1 and inquired about a bereavement fare, I was offered a round-trip rate of $[redacted] for my wife and me by Andrew Smith. I provided my Discover credit card information, received a confirmation number (GKQET0), and was told the reservation was paid for. However, after signing a Credit Authorization form as requested, the reservation was canceled due to non-payment. Despite Discover stating they would pay, I closed my account to prevent further charges. My wife rebooked using her card (Confirmation # GI8K9Q) after United canceled the booking. Subsequently, a second reservation was also canceled, and $[redacted] was not refunded. I made a third booking (HZXEYN) for the funeral. United Airways acknowledged its mistake but has not provided a resolution. Despite assurances from a United Supervisor, no actions have been taken. Sincerely, Donald C. S.

During my recent boarding process, I encountered a flight agent in business class who was extremely disrespectful and rude in a discriminatory manner. She assumed I wasn't a business class passenger or English speaker, and she yelled and physically pushed me away. Her joking and disrespectful behavior, including telling me to go back to where I belonged, was deeply upsetting. This experience was particularly disturbing because I am a paying customer, regardless of my status, and have never been treated this way before. It is unacceptable for her to speak to me in such a manner when I had done nothing wrong. If she had concerns with my seat assignment, she could have assisted me in a respectful manner to find my seat, instead of treating me disrespectfully.

I purchased tickets for my daughter and grandson from Guam to Honolulu with United under Confirmation number LR1D8M. I was double-charged for the same tickets. I booked through JustFly.com and attempted to book twice unsuccessfully. On the third attempt by my other daughter, the booking went through and the information was accepted. However, upon checking my account, I discovered two charges were deducted. I kindly ask for a refund of the duplicate charge from my account.

My wife is currently in Connecticut assisting with her father's transition to a nursing home, causing a change in her flight plans. Her original flight from Hartford to Chicago on Friday needs to be rescheduled to either February 12 in the afternoon or February 13 in the morning. The current confirmation number for the flight is JLEKQE, and she purchased travel insurance for flexibility. As retired seniors, we are seeking a cost-effective solution for this change. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.

I have reservations from Ahmedabad to Atlanta on March 1, [redacted], but I prefer to return home to Atlanta sooner due to coronavirus concerns. What can I do to get on an earlier United flight than my original booking? Whom should I contact for assistance with this matter? Please reach out via email or phone at +[redacted]16 or [redacted] My name is Mukesh S., and the reservations are under my name. Thank you for your prompt response.

A few hours ago, I spoke with one of your agents to reschedule a flight I had canceled a few months back. When I canceled, I was told there would be no fees, and I could use the full amount as credit to book a new flight within a year. Despite spending over an hour on the phone, I have been unable to rebook my flight. The booking number for the canceled flight is F7FJ3D.

I have scoliosis and underwent spinal fusion surgery at 11. Now, at 43, I experience chronic pain due to my surgery. Specific types of seats trigger extreme discomfort because of my condition. Recently, the new seats on a United Airlines [redacted] plane with an additional cushion on the headrest caused excruciating pain during my flight. Despite informing a flight attendant of my situation, I was left to endure 6 hours of agony. The pain was so severe that it disrupted my first night and led me to seek medical attention during my vacation. I possess a doctor's note outlining my condition. The thought of enduring such discomfort on United Airlines again is anxiety-inducing. Please, could you provide comfortable seating accommodations that cater to my medical needs?

I am John McArtor and need to update my flight info from Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia (DPS) to Fort Myers, FL, USA (RSW) on Feb. 15. There are concerns of cancellation by EVA Airlines due to the coronavirus situation, so rescheduling seems wise. Please contact me via email at [redacted] Thank you.

I purchased first-class tickets for a flight from Denver to New Orleans, but due to a delay from Rapid City to Denver, I missed my connecting flight. Despite being put on a different flight, I did not receive the first-class seats I paid for. An agent at Customer Service in Denver mentioned that United would refund the price difference for the first-class seats. My confirmation number for the flight on January 12th, [redacted], was 10940B, and it was booked for Merry M. and Dan M. I am inquiring about the status and amount of the refund. Thank you.

My spouse and I have a flight tomorrow from Atlanta, connecting through Chicago to Seattle. We are seniors and face mobility challenges. Being seated at the bulkhead on UA Flight [redacted] means a long trek to reach the restrooms. Can we utilize our mileage plus points to upgrade to first class? I noticed open first-class seats in row 2. As a former Air National Guard member, does this status allow us to board alongside other veterans? Thank you so much. A&S Slawson

My husband, John B., with date of birth July 18, [redacted], flew on February 12, [redacted]. His United confirmation number is LFFS86. During his flight, he encountered issues with his seat's light and the connection for his purchased earbuds. This was disappointing considering the cost of the flight, as we typically choose Delta. I am Kelli B., his wife, with confirmation number LFPS7C. Due to a medical condition, I had to cancel my trip and followed the necessary procedures with United and the third-party booking company, Hopper. My husband observed a mix-up with the name on a card and wheelchair, which inaccurately showed Kelli Andrews Baker. I am seeking a refund for my ticket and compensation for the inconveniences we experienced.
