For the past three months, someone using a TextNow number has been harassing me, my girlfriend, and other family members, constantly switching numbers. Despite my attempts to block them using the #stop feature, they continue to create new numbers daily, escalating to threats against my life. I contacted TextNow multiple times but only received automated replies. I've filed a police report but struggle to reach TextNow for help. I used my Visa ending in [redacted] to order a phone for my daughter Kimberly Davis, who reported it stolen. I made an initial one-time payment, but I've been incorrectly billed $29.99 for October and November. Unfortunately, we don't have the phone number since it was stolen quickly. I recently bought an HTC phone a few weeks ago. I was expecting it to arrive, but received an email from UPS stating that it was delivered to my door. However, I never received the phone. UPS claims they left it on my porch when no one answered the door - a risky move considering the high theft rate in my area during the holidays. Despite paying for the phone, it's missing. I recently had to purchase a new phone quickly and ended up using a different email address to set it up as I was about to undergo surgery. The phone arrived and was activated by a friend without my permission. Unfortunately, I can't remember the password for the new email or the login details for my TextNow account linked to the new number ([redacted]). I had to deactivate my old number, [redacted], which I've used for years and still access over Wi-Fi. The login for this number is karenjones5477. I'm hoping to change the email associated with [redacted] since I can't access it. I am willing to provide my credit card details used to purchase the phone for verification purposes. On November 27, [redacted], I signed up for TextNow's unlimited plan with no payment until January [redacted] and bought a new HTC Bolt phone. Unfortunately, my phone started malfunctioning within two weeks. It would often turn off unexpectedly and when restarted, the screen would remain black until I pressed the power and volume down buttons. This problem worsened over time to the point where the screen stopped turning on altogether. After attempting various fixes found online with no success, I learned that the Bolt model has been plagued by this issue since its release. I am hopeful that either repairing or replacing the phone will be the only viable solution.

Dear members, I am a resident in Muscat, Oman, running a small business. Since June [redacted], I have been receiving threatening messages and voice messages on my WhatsApp from TextNow numbers, such as +[redacted]8. I have attempted to block these numbers, but each time I do, new messages come from different TextNow numbers. My internet provider informed me that they can't assist since the numbers originate from other countries and are untraceable. They suggested contacting the number provider. The individual also uses my ID photo, adding derogatory words and sending messages to my friends and relatives. I am seeking assistance in determining the true country of origin or IP address of the sender, as I suspect they are not in the US or Canada. I have a suspicion the sender may be in Sharjah, possibly a Pakistani national working for Air Arabia named Faizan Abdul Karim. Despite lacking concrete proof, the messages suggest they are located in Sharjah and speak Urdu. As a 70-year-old individual, I am deeply concerned for my family's safety if they were to visit Pakistan due to these threats. I will share more blocked numbers in my next message. I am disappointed with Text Now's services. Even though I canceled before the due date, they took 3 to 4 days to port my number to the new company and kept my $19.99 for the month, which they refuse to refund. I cannot contact support as they require an account number, which I no longer have access to. Despite having chat transcripts before my account closure due to a porting issue, I am unable to chat with them to request the refund. Their lack of responsiveness via email makes it challenging to address billing concerns promptly. Despite my efforts to retrieve the $19.99, I have had no success. I am considering reporting this matter to Consumer Affairs, Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, and other relevant agencies because of the company's unprofessional behavior. It is frustrating to be unable to communicate with their support team via chat or email to resolve this issue and receive the refund I am owed.

This is the second time my fiancée has gifted me a TextNow phone for Christmas. She purchased the $50 unlimited plan for me, which I used for the first month. After topping up for the second month with the same plan, I wanted to change the account's email to stop notifications going to my fiancée. However, changing the email accidentally canceled my subscription and charged me. After contacting support, the money was refunded, but I've been without service for a week now due to the same issue repeating. I'd appreciate a refund so I can activate a new account. I promise not to change the email again. The previous email was changed from [redacted] to [redacted], and the password was updated to "cracken[redacted]9." The old password was "Mommy0920," and my phone number is [redacted].

I purchased a refurbished phone from your company for around $60, which included the phone and a basic plan. I used my girlfriend's credit card for the purchase but registered the phone in my name. However, when I received the phone, I couldn't activate it for my own use. I tried to add a new plan but the system indicates the phone is already active with a different carrier. I still have the receipt and box, as well as proof of purchase on my credit card. I would like to upgrade my plan to include data so I can use the phone outside of my home, where it currently only works on Wi-Fi. Please assist me in resolving this issue so I can activate my plan with the correct carrier and start using my phone as intended. Thank you for your help.

I have used the TextNow app on multiple phones. Recently, I received a message from TextNow regarding service starting at $9.99 per month. I am interested in signing up for this service and have been trying to reach a TextNow customer representative over the phone. However, I couldn't find any customer service number provided by the company other than an International calling number. Having to contact customer service through International calling would incur additional charges through my current phone carrier. It would be beneficial if TextNow could offer a U.S. customer service number as well. Can you please provide a U.S. customer service phone number for TextNow?

I encountered a situation where a girl I met online through your platform has gained access to my Hangouts email addresses using the codes provided by your service without my knowledge. She has taken control of my company email address, [redacted], and my personal email address, [redacted] Both these email addresses were set up by me with my cellphone number as the recovery number, which she has changed to her personal phone number from TextNow. Now, I need assistance from TextNow to regain control like she did. She has passwords to various websites I signed up for recently using my compromised personal number, making it impossible for me to cancel them as she also has the customer service contact information. Can you please provide me with the necessary codes to reclaim control, or should I involve law enforcement to resolve this issue?

I have been trying to reach out to TextNow through their website chat for over 2 months but have not received any responses. My concern is with the HTC Bolt I bought from TextNow on November 16, [redacted], for $[redacted].99. The phone's screen has never fully functioned, with the left half going black after a week and the entire screen becoming unusable after a month, rendering the phone useless. Research indicates a known manufacturer defect with this model for over 2 years without a fix. I wish to return this faulty phone for a full refund, but my previous payment method is no longer valid. I have been struggling with my wireless service being charged to my account even though I requested it to be cancelled 2 months ago. I no longer have the same phone or email to access my account and I can't reach a live person for assistance. The company keeps deducting the monthly fee as soon as funds are available in my account, even if the payment is not due until the 26th, leading to financial strain. Despite receiving a message confirming the cancellation of my service and not contacting them to restart, they continue to withdraw funds from my account. I have been charged $19.99 twice without using the service and need a refund for the past two months.

I have been experiencing issues with my phone. I am unable to receive pictures, only seeing a broken image icon. Moreover, the people I talk to complain that my voice is breaking up, and calls get disconnected randomly. There are instances where I can't answer calls despite pressing the green answer key. Sometimes, when dialing a contact, the call rings back to the same person I'm talking to, leading to call drops or interruptions. These problems started when I crossed the border, and I have since changed my plan, added more data, reset my phone, and replaced the battery. It seems like excessive data usage from apps, ads, and clutter might have been causing the issue of slow performance on my phone. I hope these details help you understand my situation better as staying in touch while abroad is crucial to me.

I received a notification that an account was opened using my email and personal information. The account number in question is [redacted]. I want to clarify that neither I nor anyone authorized by me opened this account. I have been receiving inappropriate materials and some of my information seems to have been compromised or removed without my consent. Kindly check your records and promptly close any accounts linked to Holly Buxton or Holly Williamson Buxton. There might also be accounts associated with Holly Martin, although I have never been known as Holly Martin. My phone has been hacked, and despite my efforts to fix it with a new phone, it appears that the issue persists. I noticed that TextNow is currently undergoing upgrades. I would like to know how I can retain my existing TextNow number. I have already downloaded the new app on my iPad, but I am hesitant to proceed without knowing how to keep my current number. I would greatly appreciate specific guidance on how to achieve this. It would be beneficial to receive an email with detailed instructions or alternatively, speak with a tech support representative. It would be helpful if TextNow could offer written instructions on how to retain the same phone number during the upgrade process. I am a TextNow free number user with an iPhone 6s. I have forgotten my password and am unsure if the email associated is at Gmail.com or @icloud.com. Unfortunately, I have lost the paper where I wrote down my password, so I can't log in to my email to receive the password reset code. My wife usually took care of this, but she's away right now. Please assist me. I need to retrieve my password and determine if I signed up under a Gmail or iCloud username. The email should be wadeodell@ one of the two domains mentioned. Can anyone help me with this?
