Dear Skype Customer Service,
I would like to address an issue regarding the exorbitant charges my husband incurred while calling me on Skype to my cell phone while I was in hospital in the Cayman Islands. Despite our calls being brief, we were surprised to see charges of US$10.00 per call, with an additional charge each time we were disconnected.
Previously, we have experienced far more reasonable rates, such as around 11 cents per minute for calls to Europe. These recent charges were unexpected and unaffordable, making traditional phone calls a more cost-effective option.
We have been loyal customers for years and have appreciated the service Skype provides. Could you please look into this matter and either explain the charges or consider reimbursing our Skype account? Your assistance in resolving this discrepancy would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am having trouble accessing my account and suspect it may have been hacked once again. A few weeks ago, during a chat with a representative, it was discovered I had two accounts, one of which was not mine. I was assured one account, under the username jhrob1, was canceled to leave me with the correct one. However, I now notice that some of my contacts are missing. I received an email on June 5, [redacted], stating there is an active credit of EUR9.80 in my account. I am puzzled why the currency is in Euros as I am an American residing in San Francisco since [redacted]. This situation is very confusing, and I have spent too much time on a service I am unable to use.

I believe I may have accidentally deleted some chats from my history that could still be visible to others. For safety reasons, I want to delete my account to ensure all the chats are gone. I want to clarify that I do not want my Microsoft account removed during this process. I'm confused about the relationship between Microsoft accounts and Skype accounts, as the information I found online seems contradictory. I feel like I need direct support to resolve this issue.

I am currently seeking technical assistance to regain access to my Skype subscription account following an update. My Skype username is Ransomsmith with the associated Skype number being 1 [redacted]. The email linked to Microsoft Outlook is [redacted] While I am unable to use my cell phone at the moment as the battery is dead ([redacted]), I can be reached at my house number [redacted]. The latest interaction I had was with Christy. To proceed, I closed all active applications, including our chat, after providing access for remote assistance. Despite following Christy's instructions to enter "ransomsmith" as a username, I encountered issues when inputting the Skype number in the subsequent window.

I forgot my password and now I'm struggling to recover my account with all the details from 12 years ago. Despite multiple attempts, I'm being asked to fill out the form again since many of my answers were incorrect. I find this process unhelpful as I still struggle to remember the specific information from so long ago. I'm frustrated as I'm unable to cancel my subscription with Skype and seem to be stuck with a company causing me such difficulties. I'm being charged despite being unable to access my account or services. I urgently need assistance to cancel my account and halt any further charges.

I recently received a notification about my account being charged for the new year on your site. However, I encountered difficulties navigating your website. Upon my initial notification, I noticed that the billing information on my account displayed an expired card, which is accurate. I couldn't find a way on your website to cancel the subscription as an extra precaution. I assumed I was safe due to the expired card. Can you confirm that the subscription has indeed been canceled and assure me that no charges were processed? I have ceased using Skype for work purposes, making the subscription unnecessary for me. Thank you.

Hello,
I have been trying to update the email address on my Skype account for a while now. Currently, I have two email addresses listed on my account. The first one, [redacted], is an old email that I no longer have access to. The second one, [redacted], is a typo - my actual email is [redacted] I've been stuck in a cycle where I need to request a new password, but to do so, I must enter one of these email addresses, both of which I cannot access.
After submitting a request and providing additional information to verify my identity, I received a code and an email with a link to reset my password. However, when I click on the link, it asks for an email address it does not recognize. I attempted to enter my Skype name but received an error message prompting me to enter the Microsoft account I am trying to recover.
I am unsure whether I need a new code, but if so, I would appreciate it if one could be generated for me. I am eager to resolve this issue to update my email address and remove the incorrect ones, as I use Skype frequently to stay in touch with my family in Argentina.
Thank you for your assistance.

I have an iPhone 10 x, and my husband has an Android phone. I used to be able to call his Skype number without any issues, but recently, I've been prompted to press a number to connect the call. However, each time I try, the call doesn't go through - no ringing or connection, just a prompt to press a different number each time. I've searched everywhere for a solution, including contacting Skype support, but haven't found a fix.
I even tried deleting and re-entering his Skype number on my iPhone, but with no success. We solely use Skype for voice calls, not video calls. He's currently out of the country, so I really need to get this working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I recently fell victim to a $[redacted] scam involving Steam gift cards. I posted these cards for sale on EBay, and the buyer requested more gift cards for their brother, including the costs. After purchasing the additional cards, I was informed I needed to validate the codes for complete payment through a PayPal link. Realizing it was a scam, I attempted to redeem the original $[redacted] codes, but they had already been used. Is there any chance Steam can credit me the $[redacted], or help track down the scammer for legal action? I possess the gift card codes for verification. Could someone please assist me promptly? Thank you.

Upon arriving in Canada on vacation, I encountered a disconnection issue. Unfortunately, I have recently left my job and misplaced my primary cell phone. I am facing difficulty recovering my account as I seem to be answering the security questions incorrectly. I urgently need to regain access to my account as it is essential for my new job to reach me. I have acquired Skype numbers for both the US and France. Kindly contact me on my husband's cell at [redacted] during Montreal's daytime to assist me in navigating the recovery process. Your help in resolving the security questions, and exploring the possible answers (related to past addresses and credit cards), would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Isabelle.

My account "eagleridge275" is locked, and I am unable to access my contacts. Please transfer my money and contracts to my new account under my email address: [redacted] I urgently need to call my relatives in Europe, but their phone numbers are all in the locked account. I cannot use my Visa in the new account as you are still deducting for my purchases in the old one, which I cannot access. This would create a larger mess because my Visa card is the same, the only one I have. - Steve (aka Stefan) Zagoranski. PS: This account was not hacked; this issue occurred with the Microsoft Win10 update, which removed my home LAN and Win 7 compatibility programs. Despite the message from the update, my 2 PCs cannot share any files since Home Group was removed. Also, please do not ask me to sync any devices as I have none - no mobile phone, Facebook, or Twitter accounts.

Subject: Concerns with Skype Account Restriction
I received communication from Skype Customer Support about my account being linked to suspicious activities and being restricted from making calls. I responded expressing my dissatisfaction, as even on my cell phone, I am unable to make calls. I asked for a detailed explanation of the issues and requested a refund for the latest charge. I also inquired about the possibility of cleaning out any suspicious activities on my devices.
Additionally, I shared my ability to make Skype-to-Skype calls but not calls to cell phones or landlines, seeking further clarification on this matter. I await a response for resolution on these matters.
Best,
DB Alexander

On July 18, [redacted], I chatted with a Skype representative regarding my account balance. Despite topping up $10.00, my account now displays $4.75. Today, on Aug 15/19, I received an email detailing a $30.48 charge, which was confusing as my account was supposed to be covered until Aug [redacted] without automatic credit card charges. The email mentioned a recurring $30.48 charge annually. Can you please clarify my account status, ensure it's secured until Aug [redacted], and confirm that my credit card won't be charged automatically?

I regularly purchase Skype credit to call Malawi. Yesterday, I saw an offer for a $15 monthly unlimited subscription on Skype and decided to sign up for it. Today, when I tried to call the same numbers I always call, I received an error saying the numbers were blocked or not included in my subscription. I rely on these numbers for calls, so I would like a refund of the subscription fee. It would be helpful if Skype could clearly specify which countries are included or not included in the subscription in the future. I hope this is a genuine customer support channel. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

After moving on August 10, [redacted], I cancelled my internet broadband at my previous address, leading me to lose access to my old email account. Unfortunately, this caused me to miss any renewal notifications, including one from Skype, and £41.48 was charged to my credit card for a new subscription year I did not want. Despite my attempts, I have been unable to secure a refund from Skype. The challenge now is that I cannot access the necessary codes to cancel the renewal as they are sent to my old, inactive email address. How should I go about canceling my subscription under these circumstances?

Recently, a window unexpectedly appeared on my laptop, prompting me to sign in, which I assumed was a Skype update. After following the instructions provided by what turned out to be Microsoft, I ended up changing my Skype username to my email address and altering my password. As a result, I am now unable to access my original Skype account where all of my important contacts are stored. Since my son is currently overseas, this account is vital for us to stay connected. While Skype still functions on my cell phone, it's inconvenient due to the battery drain, and I prefer using my laptop. I urgently need assistance in restoring my old Skype account. Your help in resolving this matter promptly would be greatly appreciated.

I am struggling to remember the security questions needed to reset my Skype password. I haven't used Skype regularly in the last 5 years, and my account balance is very low. I am using the same computer as my last call a couple of months ago. Each time I attempt a password reset, it becomes harder to answer the security questions. I would appreciate starting fresh to change my Skype password based on my last call and the continuity of using the same computer. I feel stuck in a cycle of forgotten security questions from years ago and need assistance resetting my password. Thank you for your help.

I received two emails at "[redacted]". The first one on September 6th announced that my Skype credit was active again, and the second on September 8th informed me that Skype had delivered my order. I did not request any credit reactivation as I have not used Skype for many years, and no money has been withdrawn from my bank accounts by Skype. It seems my account has been accessed by a third party. I wish to cancel any Skype account associated with my name. I may have two accounts, one linked to the mentioned Yahoo email, and possibly another connected to [redacted], which had its password compromised and changed around six months ago.
