I recently discovered that I was removed as the Manchester Lead without any prior notification. I am the one who founded NextDoor Manchester, the first active feed in rural Conyers, where I have been a resident on and off since [redacted]. I initiated NextDoor in early [redacted] after purchasing my home. Upon contacting NextDoor technical support regarding the matter, I was advised to consult with other neighborhood Leads, including Sharon N., a newer Lead who lacks the tenure of being the original lead in rural west Conyers. She has not been helpful.
The main issue is that the NextDoor Manchester neighborhood map has been changed to display an adjoining neighborhood, South Ridge, instead. I reached out to the South Ridge Lead regarding this issue, but have not received a response. It seems that the NextDoor technical support team is uncooperative. I spent over three decades at the Georgia Institute of Technology offering technical support in various roles, and if I had behaved similarly to the NextDoor support staff for even a few days, I would have faced consequences.

Hello, my account was deactivated because I used a pseudonym instead of my real name. I changed to this name on various social media platforms due to safety concerns related to my abusive ex-husband. I value my presence on Nextdoor and wish to keep it, as I enjoy promoting peace and kindness in the community. I have even contributed by giving away items to others.
It is disheartening to have to constantly change identities to stay safe. Despite my situation, I strive to make positive contributions and have not caused harm to anyone. If my account cannot be reinstated, I kindly ask for assistance in informing individuals I was in the process of helping that I did not abandon them.
Thank you,
Shaari/BB

I am unsure why my account has been disabled. I have been patient, but ND has restricted my access without reason. I feel I am being unfairly singled out, facing discrimination and unjust treatment. I have been quiet on this platform for a while, and after making one post, my account was suspended. I believe my post was truthful, supported by evidence from my experiences. Please, kindly reactivate my account promptly.

I am currently going through a difficult divorce situation. My estranged husband's girlfriend, Monica Gomez, has been harassing me on social media platforms, despite me trying to avoid any contact with her. I have already reported her and her comments have been deleted, but I need a copy of the evidence for court purposes. Monica Gomez is associating with my husband, Julio Torres, who lives at [redacted] State Street in Redlands, California, not on Olive Avenue as she claims. I am looking for ways to protect myself from her continuous harassment online. I am considering changing my name on this platform to avoid further interactions with her. Any advice on how to maintain my anonymity and protect myself from her troubling behavior would be greatly appreciated.

Subject: Nextdoor Account Issue
Hello,
I am experiencing a troubling issue with my Nextdoor account that I believe involves discrimination. I have been wrongly accused of questionable behavior by another user. Being a disabled individual at 62 years old, recovering from two rotator cuff surgeries, I rely heavily on community support.
I reported individuals named Peter Middleton and Gina Martinuzzi for their abusive behavior and for allegedly robbing my home. I am concerned about their access to other people's homes through Nextdoor and have requested their removal.
I have made multiple attempts to contact Nextdoor to rectify the situation. Following an incident where my identity was stolen during a fire at Griggs Farm, I suspect one of the accused had access to my personal information. I am seeking legal advice and emotional support during my recovery process.
For correspondence, please reach me at [redacted] as my other accounts may have been compromised. It is distressing to be locked out of my account, especially considering my long-standing presence in Princeton, NJ, where I have operated a business for two decades. Your assistance in resolving this matter is greatly appreciated.

Today, I noticed that several of my posts were removed even though they followed the guidelines. Strangely, at the same time, there was a disturbance in my account. Though I could access it, I was met with a blurry screen prompting me to join the group to view a thread. I had to reset my password to regain access. I suspect some individuals are tampering with my account, falsely claiming I have moved and even adding a Lead to my neighborhood without my consent. The Leads do not seem to be effectively moderating posts as some offensive content remains unaddressed. I believe they are being too selective in their decisions. I respectfully request the restoration of my removed posts in the following thread: [redacted]. I also suggest a review of the Leads' voting practices. I am hopeful you can address these concerns. Thank you for your assistance. - K

I am currently encountering an "internal server error" message on both Safari and Chrome. This problem started on my MACOS Monterey version 12.3 around 6 months ago. Now, even on Chrome "Version 99.0.[redacted].74 (Official Build) (x86_64)" I am facing the same issue. I usually switch to Chrome when Safari presents the error, and I was able to access the application yesterday using Chrome. I reported the Safari issue yesterday, but now Chrome is also affected. Could Next door possibly be temporarily down? It appears that the Safari issue needs fixing, but now it seems to be a Next door problem affecting Chrome. Kindly update the software for Safari. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated, as Next door software is valuable to me. Please contact me at [redacted] Thank you.

I am looking to contact Nextdoor's national headquarters, but they have informed me that their email is not working correctly. Email is the only way I can reach out to them. I am in the process of relocating to a new city, but due to the housing crisis and being at a long distance, it has been challenging. I want to post an ad in the Nextdoor section of the city, specifically in the area where I am looking for a place to live. Since Nextdoor communication is focused on localized areas, I need help from the headquarters to enable this option or provide an alternative solution. Having this option available would greatly assist me and many others struggling with this difficult relocation process.

Hello, I appreciate you taking the time to address the suspension of my account for 31 days. It appears it was due to expressing my opinions based on facts and truth. It seems that one individual was offended by my post, leading to this action. I imagine the office on Taylor in San Francisco filled with individuals dressed in Soviet uniforms admiring Che Guevara's pictures on the wall. My heritage ties back to what was once part of the Soviet empire, but times are changing. It's noteworthy that Elon Musk now owns Twitter, and there are significant shifts happening at CNN. While humorously criticizing current political figures, I conclude by suggesting alternative media sources and job opportunities at FED EX. The political landscape seems to be evolving, and I look forward to the future changes.

I am sharing my experience on Nextdoor concerning a recent post in Scottsdale. Over 60 people engaged in the discussion, but a participant made inflammatory comments about a Council person. When I addressed this behavior, I got suspended after he complained. It seems like the company is censoring and not promoting freedom of expression, which is disappointing. It's evident that the leadership may be influenced by Jack Dorsey of Square. This incident has made me rethink my view of the platform and its policies. I hope that someone of influence within the company takes note of this feedback.

A few months ago, I encountered a troubling situation on the app where a member of my community stalked and hit on me. I promptly reported the incident, followed their advice to block the individual, and was assured they would address the matter due to it being a violation of their rules.
Recently, I noticed the same person interacting on someone else's post, which caused distress. Seeing their presence reignited my feelings of unease, prompting me to request the deletion of my account for safety reasons. Unfortunately, the response I received lacked empathy towards my concerns.
Feeling neglected and questioning the company's commitment to user safety, I took to Twitter to reach out to their customer service team, hoping for prompt assistance. Regrettably, despite being promised a response within 72 hours, I am still waiting for meaningful follow-up.
I am eager to escalate this issue to the management to highlight the inadequacies in safeguarding site users, particularly women, as it appears there may be a broader pattern of behavior with this individual.

I'm in need of assistance with changing my email address. It seems that the issues started when I attempted to make this adjustment. Initially, I may have made an error or not completed the sign-up process correctly. So far, I've only been reading posts without any interactions. Yesterday, I successfully messaged someone, which was fine. However, when I noticed the "change email" option at the bottom of a page, I accidentally clicked the unsubscribe button instead of edit email. I promptly received a notification that I had unsubscribed, but I'm unsure from what exactly. Despite this, I still received posts today. I attempted multiple times to follow the instructions for changing my email address. The first guideline mentioned clicking on a photo in the upper right-hand corner, although I only have my initial displayed there, and there was no drop-down menu underneath it to proceed further. How can I successfully change my email, and what did I accidentally unsubscribe from? Your assistance is highly appreciated.

I found a business, Kodi Construction, on your website and hired them for a dog run project. Unfortunately, they did not complete the work after receiving $[redacted] from me. Despite trying to contact them multiple times, they never responded. I ended up posting a negative review on your site. As a senior citizen without social media, I don't mind if you lock me out. My concern is how you can protect customers from fraudulent companies. I had text message evidence of our conversations that could have helped with the investigation. I joined your site to find reliable services for my home renovation, but I have now decided to delete my account. It would be beneficial for you to handle such situations more effectively in the future to prevent others from facing a similar predicament.

I need help with a situation related to a post with improper content and misleading details on Nextdoor. A neighbor I contacted about our dogs barking misrepresented our conversation, publicly sharing our home address and urging others to report us to the police for noise complaints involving the dogs. She provided the police number and instructed others to report us after 10 pm, threatening us with citations after three complaints. We have worked to address the barking promptly, but we live in a rural area with neighboring dogs. I suspect she is confusing their barking for ours. I invited her to visit our farm, but instead of engaging with us, she continues to shame us and incite false reports. I have flagged her post on Nextdoor but have not received a response yet. I fear further harassment and false accusations. This urgent matter needs immediate attention to avoid unfair treatment and potential property damage. Thank you.

There have been numerous posts and comments that were blatantly racist and discriminatory, which may even be illegal in certain situations like denying services to specific demographics. I encountered these posts multiple times and consistently stood against them. I encouraged kindness and urged for finding solutions instead of perpetuating hatred. Surprisingly, I received a notification today that my account is suspended for 29 days due to "discrimination." I find this unfair as I was only speaking out against racism. It's disheartening that Nextdoor is silencing me for standing up against discrimination. I believe in promoting understanding and respect, not spreading hate. I kindly request that my account access be restored promptly. If not, it may send the wrong message that Nextdoor tolerates racism and discrimination, which I hope is not the case.

I recently joined Nextdoor to stay informed about my neighborhood but have noticed a shift in the content towards political discussions. Many neighbors, including myself, are tired of extreme political views and would prefer the platform to focus on its original purpose - sharing neighborhood news and updates. I suggest splitting Nextdoor into two sections: one for community-related posts and another for unrelated discussions. Without better control over the content, I fear many users, myself included, will deactivate our accounts. I hope this issue can be addressed soon to retain users like myself. Thank you, - M.L. from The Hills, Texas.

I received an invitation to join Nextdoor about 6-8 months ago. The code provided was DXPTZG with an expiry of 7 days. I am Allen Charles Smith, residing at [redacted] Westridge Pines, Wildwood, Missouri, [redacted]. My cell phone number is [redacted]. Recently, I encountered an issue as my account was suspended unexpectedly. I am 81 years old, a widower, and explained that due to my eyesight, I use all caps when writing. Most neighbors were welcoming, but a few objected to my writing style. I engage positively, sharing stories and helping where I can. I was saddened to be suspended without clear reasons. I seek understanding and hope to be reinstated briefly to retrieve an address to send a gift card. I am willing to apologize if I unknowingly upset someone. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Allen Smith.

Last week, I was suspended from the site and I'm not sure why. I go by Allen S., and I'm an 81-year-old widower. I enjoy sharing stories, and most people seem to like them. I always refrain from using profanity. Using all caps is a necessity due to my eyesight, which others have understood except for one younger user. The words "pray" and "praying" were part of my posts. I found solace in the videos, photos, and interactions with others on the site, feeling they were like friends. In November [redacted], I lost my 55-year-old son to suicide, which I've shared to explain my need for distraction. I've always offered to delete my stories if they were bothersome. Though someone mentioned my posts took too much space, I also noticed others posting numerous photos of couches for sale. Security concerns were raised by users. I was hoping that engaging with the community would help me cope with my loss. I'm unsure if my stories led to my suspension and would appreciate clarity to rejoin the platform. Thank you, ACS.

I have encountered two issues recently. Firstly, a member, known as A.E. from Rainbow Lakes Estates, has been insulting me whenever I express differing opinions. He has resorted to calling me names like rude, insolent, and unpleasant. Furthermore, he has made troubling comments advocating for humans hunting each other and implied that a member should consider leaving this world. This behavior has been ongoing and unsettling. Secondly, I am hesitant to report this behavior because A.E. is supported by friends who are leads. One lead, B.H., has openly sided with A.E. I fear retaliation if I report these incidents, as I was once removed from ND for addressing similar behavior. Despite my reservations, I feel it is unfair for certain members to receive preferential treatment from leads based on personal opinions. I believe that while A.E. should face consequences for his actions, such as suspension, the lead supporting him should have her title temporarily revoked. I hope that by bringing attention to this issue, I will not face consequences myself. Thank you for your time and assistance in resolving this matter.

As a long-time member, I was informed that my browser was outdated. After switching to the latest version of Google Chrome, I encountered login issues. Despite making sure not to re-register, I found myself with a new account after logging in through Facebook, losing all my saved messages between friends in the process. I am seeking assistance in reclaiming my original account with all of its data intact. This situation arose due to being prompted to switch browsers. Your help in recovering my years-old account is greatly appreciated. Thank you. - Edward C. from 6 Silver Court
