I am frustrated as Mercari approved a return for an item that should not have been allowed to be returned. Mercari's policy clearly states that returns are only permitted if the buyer receives an item that does not match the seller's description. I take great care in providing detailed descriptions for all my items and have never encountered this issue on other platforms. Despite the buyer receiving the item exactly as described, Mercari still approved the return. The buyer even messaged me regarding the return problem. I am concerned because this unjust return and potential negative feedback from the buyer could harm my seller reputation. I urge Mercari to reconsider this return decision and decline the buyer's request as it is unfair.

I ordered an item and despite the notification that it was delivered, I never received it. Upon checking, the item was at my local post office flagged as suspicious, leading to an evacuation and x-ray screening, which determined it was safe. However, now I am being asked to pay postage for an item that was supposed to have free shipping. The package had no return address and was addressed to me at my post office's address. Despite all this, I still haven't received the item and no longer wish to receive it. Mercari automatically rated the seller as five stars, but the situation remains unresolved after three days.

I purchased a ring that was too big, so I decided to return it. I went to the UPS store to print the shipping label and sent it from there since USPS does pickups at that location. I mailed it out on Monday, July 1st, but when I checked the tracking, it only showed that a label was created and not that the package was shipped. Today, July 2nd, I returned to the UPS store, and they confirmed that the package was picked up by USPS. When I inquired at USPS, they explained that the tracking may not update until they receive the package because I did not send it directly through them. I am concerned as the policy indicates I have 3 days to ship it back. What should I do if it takes longer than 3 days for the package to reach the seller?

Dear Sir/Madam, My name on Mercari is Takata Lina Nava with the nickname Rina (Romanized). When I attempted to withdraw and transfer my funds to my bank account, I encountered an issue. Mercari informed me that the identity information I provided did not match. I have double-checked and corrected any errors, but the confirmation is still pending. I verified that my bank account details in Romanized characters match. Despite following Mercari's instructions, I am unable to transfer my earnings. I was recently advised not to move a conversation offline, although I'm unsure of the details. Please review our correspondence to see that I have done nothing wrong. Another user wanted to purchase from a different seller but was unsure how to bundle items, so I explained my process. Nothing was taken offline as I would never risk that. The removal of the posts was unnecessary. I have had trouble finding customer service on this site despite numerous issues. I would like to make a complaint about the lack of support. I purchased a Beats Pill XL speaker, which was advertised to not include a charger. I left a positive rating for the seller as the item arrived without any initial issues. However, when I brought the speaker to Apple to verify the correct charger, they revealed that it was a counterfeit product. They even checked the serial number and confirmed it was not authentic. I am now seeking a refund for this misrepresented purchase.

My Mercari account was suspended after I filed a credit dispute for $25. They say this violates their Terms of Service. I've been communicating with them via email for a week to resolve this, explaining that reversing the dispute will return the funds to Mercari. Despite this, they insist that they've already refunded me and won't give further credit. I'm trying to be honest and upfront, but they seem to think I'm manipulating the situation. It's frustrating to spend so much time on emails when a simple phone call could clear things up. I phoned Mercari, but was told to keep emailing. I feel stuck because I'm facing consequences for the seller's shady actions, as they blocked me when I raised concerns about the questionable product they sold me.

The seller mistakenly sent me the wrong item on Mercari. Following Mercari's instructions, I returned the item using the provided shipping label for a refund. The tracking information confirms the delivery, but now the seller claims not to reside at the address provided by Mercari. I am frustrated with this situation as it is not my error. Despite sending evidence including my mailing receipt and delivery tracking, I have not received any updates from Mercari. I simply seek clarity and resolution regarding my refund.

I made a purchase of shoes from a seller. The seller took two days to ship the item. For a week, I monitored the package with no progress beyond "pre-shipment." I contacted the seller after a week and was assured the shipment would progress within a couple of days. After four days passed with no change, I grew concerned as the funds had already been debited from my bank account. I decided to cancel my order due to the lack of shipment progress. Upon checking the cancellation status, I was informed that "the item is no longer available." My purchase disappeared without a trace, but the funds were still deducted from my account. I need to address my account. There are recurring charges when I attempt to deposit funds, despite verifying that my bank details are correct. Despite assurance from my bank about the accuracy of my routing and account numbers, every deposit I make results in an email citing incorrect information and a $*.** fee. This repeated issue of funds being deducted during deposits is frustrating. Attempts to contact customer service by phone lead to a message stating no one is available, compounding the problem. I received a message from a woman inquiring about a buyer who purchased my top. After confirming the purchase, she expressed her frustration as the buyer had allegedly bought the same top from her but requested a cancellation and refund afterwards, claiming she found a top in better condition from me. Despite my thorough inspection confirming the top was not damaged and was unworn by my daughter, the buyer is attempting to retain the top and get a refund. I regret not recognizing her bad reputation on Facebook beforehand, as I would have blocked her to prevent this situation. I seek assistance in handling this matter, as I am certain of the top's excellent condition and do not wish to issue a refund.

I bought a pair of Tory Burch shoes described as “like new” and in the listing, the seller claimed they were new and unworn. On my first day wearing them, I discovered the right shoe’s bottom sole is detached and taped together, and the left one is also loose. I promptly informed the seller, who skeptically gave me their email address for photos, but the admin deleted the message. I haven't received any further communication. This is to warn others about the seller's lack of integrity. I can share pictures for proof if needed.

I recently sent out a PS4 console in perfect condition with all original packaging. Upon receiving a return request the same day, the buyer claimed it arrived damaged and not as described. Today, when I received the item back, the box was severely damaged, and the PS4 console itself was scratched, broken, and falling apart. I am unsure if this damage occurred during the return process or if it is a deliberate attempt to carry out a fraudulent "switch scam" I have encountered on other platforms. I recently purchased Pink slides that were advertised as a medium but received a size large. I contacted customer service, provided photos as evidence, and was promised a return label within 24 hours if the seller did not request the item back. When I followed up after 24 hours, I was asked to wait another day for the label. I am frustrated as another seller previously canceled my order, holding my funds since July 3rd. I requested Mercari credits per their policy but was denied. Despite my efforts, there has been no resolution and my messages go unanswered. The customer service representative promised to contact the seller regarding the return, but no action has been taken. Disconnections on calls and lack of response have left me considering selling the slides and purchasing a new pair elsewhere due to the poor customer service experience.

Hello, I've been buying and selling various items on Mercari for about a year now. I have received mostly positive ratings except for my first one. I sold a vintage Betty Boop t-shirt and although I noticed a couple of small marks on it, I didn't want to risk washing it because of the tag. Unfortunately, the buyer left a derogatory rating without giving me a chance to explain. This one negative rating seems to be impacting my sales. I have tried calling customer service multiple times today but haven't been able to get through. I rated the seller on Mercari after completing a transaction, but then my little brother tried to activate the iPhone XR I purchased, and it was reported stolen. His phone number was suspended for this. The seller rushed me to rate them before the issue arose, and now I suspect they are selling stolen phones. Despite the problem, I have not heard back from the seller. I am seeking a refund and can return the blacklisted phone to Mercari if necessary.
