During last Christmas, I entrusted my daughter with my Best Buy credit card to purchase two Kindles for my grandchildren. Unfortunately, her father-in-law suffered a stroke, leading to hospitalization, surgery, and months of rehab. The Kindles were bought with an extended warranty, but after 1 1/2 months, one of them failed to charge. Despite difficulties, my daughter managed to return it to the Best Buy in Trumbull, CT. The manager initially hesitated to accept the return, causing frustration. Eventually, they refunded the Kindle but not the warranty cost, claiming it was lost. Displeased with Best Buy's handling of the situation, I bought two more Kindles that are also experiencing charging issues. Unable to resolve this matter with Best Buy, I feel let down and frustrated. I hope to find a solution soon since I've had a positive history with Best Buy until this incident.

Hello Kindle, I need assistance with the following three issues: Firstly, could you please provide guidance on how to submit a manuscript for publication? Secondly, I currently have two books listed on Amazon under Authorhouse, namely "PROFESSIONAL INVESTIGATION" and "PRINCIPLES OF INTERROGATION." I am interested in republishing "PROFESSIONAL INVESTIGATION" with your platform. What are the steps for this process? Lastly, I am experiencing difficulty accessing my Amazon Account as I keep receiving an error message stating that my password is incorrect, even after resetting it. Any assistance on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. You can contact me via email at ([redacted]). Thank you for your help.

I am encountering an issue with the tax form for self-publishing on your platform. I am an American citizen residing in England for several years. While I had a brief job in the USA at the age of 16, I no longer have my social security number. Since [redacted], I have lived and worked in England, using my husband's National Insurance number initially. I have had my National Insurance Number since [redacted], even though I didn't work then. I am now retired in the UK with a permanent residency status. However, I am having trouble filling out the tax form online as it only accommodates citizenship information and does not consider residents like me. I am seeking advice on how to proceed as the form does not allow mentioning a National Insurance Number without a social security number. I appreciate any guidance you can provide as I'm struggling to find a solution through other channels. Thank you, G.B.
Concerning Authorhouse, they previously published my book without any issues regarding my dual citizenship and residency. I believe using my National Insurance Number is appropriate, but the tax form's limited options are causing confusion.

My email was hacked recently, and I had to create a new email account along with a new contact number. As an author, I had a discussion with a representative today. She informed me that you would be able to combine my previous account [redacted] with my new email [redacted] to ensure my books are visible on the bookshelf. The titles of my books are "Broken Heart and Broken Promises" and "Temptation Boulevard Leads to a Death Sentence." I have a query regarding how authors receive payments, whether it's through a paper check or direct deposit, and the timeframe for payments after book purchases. When you are available, could you please call me so I can get assistance in resolving these issues and answer my questions? Thank you and God bless.

I am the author of the book "Always Look on The Brightside: The story of our travels all over the world while my husband had Alzheimer’s," published by St. Helens Carers Centre in the UK in [redacted]. The book was successful in the North of England, with all proceeds from sales and talks going to dementia and mental health charities. I am facing a dilemma as people are still interested in the book, but republishing is costly for me. I would like to make the book available online to continue supporting my charities, but I struggle with technology. I have images of the cover, the content on memory sticks, and photos. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mrs. Joan Crank.

My husband's sbcglobal.net email account has been working well for years, but today it won't open on any of our Kindles (we have three). It kept requesting the password, but when I entered it, I received an error message. I attempted to delete the account on all three Kindles and reset it, but I was confronted with the following response: "problem with server's security certificate (it is self-signed, expired, or has a host mismatch). Would you like to trust anyway." I selected OK, then entered the password and received the message: "the email address or password is incorrect." Strangely, I was able to enter his email address and password on my Apple computer using four different browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Brave) and save and access it with all of them. Is this an issue that can be resolved on your end or at sbcglobal.net's end?

Hello, I am the author of the Kindle book "The Tides of Time" by Sid Patterson. Last year, I attended a local family history class where Mr. John Walls suggested I list my family story on Kindle and offered to help. I provided him with my address and bank account details; however, he listed it under his own account without my knowledge in November [redacted]. Despite my attempts to rectify this, I have had no success. I possess email evidence that he declared me an accredited author but failed to mention he was receiving the royalties. Amazon directed me to seek your assistance. I kindly ask for your help in resolving this matter. Regards, S. Patterson.

On my first tablet where I downloaded the Kindle app years ago, I have many books purchased over time. Recently, I tried to download the app on a smartphone and a Windows laptop but couldn't find any trace of the dozens of books I had, including one that I authored, which is no longer available in electronic format. The email account used for all three devices is [redacted]. The downloaded books are still on my first Samsung SM-P605 tablet, but it's not usable for long due to battery wear, and a new battery seems hard to find. So, in essence, I don't have access to the purchased books. Can you help me solve the issue? Thank you. M. A. Migliaruolo

When I use the dictionary function, I struggle to avoid accidentally shrinking the page instead, which makes accessing the tools difficult. This issue is quite frustrating, and even when I eventually succeed, it disrupts my reading experience. Interestingly, I often inadvertently highlight text while reading by unintentionally touching the screen. It would be helpful if a single tap could highlight text and open the dictionary, while a double-tap could open the tools. I hope there might be a solution to this inconvenience.
I am using the Kindle app on an iPhone Xs Max.

I understand that you appreciate updates to the Kindle but prefer to have control over how you set up your device, including selecting the books displayed on your Home page. It seems that recent changes have limited your ability to customize this page to your liking, which is frustrating. You would like to revert to your previous settings that provided more control over the selection of books on your Home page. Your preference is to have your Kindle set up in a way that mirrors your reading habits and keeps your favorite books easily accessible. Being able to manage your device's layout and content is important to you, and you hope to see these customization options restored.
Sincerely,
Patricia S.

I've encountered the same issue multiple times this week. After a friend's suggestion, I downloaded an e-book and was disappointed with it. Trying to delete the book, I was prompted to call Kindle for assistance. The agent I spoke with had a strong accent, spoke rapidly, and rudely interrupted me. Frustrated, I independently found out how to delete the book online through Manage Devices and Content. Even though I mentioned this to the unhelpful agent, she failed to guide me to the solution. Kindle should consider better customer service training for their representatives to avoid these unpleasant interactions. My call was around 7:45 p.m. EST, but due to the language barrier, I couldn't catch the agent's name and had to correct her several times. Quite frustrating.

My friend in the UK had her KDP account deactivated unfairly for alleged multiple accounts, despite not having any. She's frustrated as she can't reach KDP customer service through the phone number provided. Without prior notice, she's unable to access her account, receive royalties, or see her books on Amazon, except for the paperbacks. She's desperate to have her account reinstated and books available again. Any guidance on who she can contact for assistance would be greatly appreciated. She mentioned that emails to Jeff@kdp are also not going through. I've included her email address below as she couldn't access the help link.

Hello,
I am reaching out on behalf of a friend who lives in Germany and is facing difficulties receiving support. Her husband and her previously shared an Amazon Kindle account, but she is currently unable to access it to retrieve their content.
I have a personal connection to her husband who tragically passed away in a car accident while serving in Qatar in [redacted]. Since she does not have access to his email to reset the password, she is seeking assistance in accessing their shared account and the books they had purchased together.
If possible, please get in touch with her at [redacted] for any guidance on how to regain access to their content. I am also available to provide support and assistance.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I published my children's book in October [redacted], and despite having royalties showing on my author page, I have yet to receive any payments. It has been three years, and despite my efforts, KDP has not sent me my royalties. I provided a different bank account and even requested payment by mail, but I was informed that I cannot receive my royalties. Moreover, Amazon is selling other books of mine without my consent. I have tried contacting them numerous times to remove my book, "Chuckles the Coo Choo Train" by Doris B. Gibbs, from their site and stop using my books altogether. It is frustrating to see my books being sold while I do not receive any payment. I demand that Amazon KDP ceases selling my books immediately. This is an official complaint from Doris B. Gibbs against Amazon KDP.

I am experiencing difficulty accessing my books on my Kindle Fire HD 8. Initially, I could easily open the Kindle app from the Home page, but this stopped working around six months ago. After some research, I found I could access my books by going to the Library from the home page. However, the format has since changed. Now, when I click on Kindle under Unread, it may briefly display the book cover or take a long time to load before kicking me back to the Kindle app page. This back-and-forth process can last up to 20 minutes, draining the battery. I have attempted to troubleshoot the issue without success.

Hello,
I am currently facing an issue with my Kindle Fire where I am unable to download books. For the past few days, whenever I try to download a book, I keep receiving an error message saying to try again later. I have already checked my Wi-Fi connection and there are no pending updates. Additionally, I have books stored in the cloud. However, whenever I attempt to download a book, it only loads about 1% and then stops, showing "Read Now." I have tried troubleshooting by restarting my device, but the issue persists. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter so I can download my books as usual. Thank you.

I keep getting pop-up book ads that I'm not interested in on my Kindle. I enjoy science fiction fantasy, especially MM SiFi. I don't want to see Menapause Manifesto, Girl on Girl SiFy Fantasy, or female romance ads anymore. If I could receive ads for my preferred genre, I'd probably make more purchases. Thank you in advance. - B

I recently purchased a [redacted] Kindle Fire and have been using it for a couple of weeks now without any issues. However, I've noticed that when using the YouTube app, the audio is consistently out of sync with the video. While other streaming apps like Hulu and Netflix work fine, YouTube seems to have this problem. I have tried various troubleshooting methods such as pausing and unpausing videos, restarting my device and the app, reinstalling the YouTube app, and checking for updates, but the audio sync issue still persists. I've searched online for solutions, but haven't been able to find a fix specifically for Kindle Fire tablets. Any assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I am an author who self-published a book through KDP. About two months ago, I experienced an issue with my account as my password suddenly stopped working. I have reached out to KDP support by email multiple times, but the responses I received seemed automated and did not provide any resolution to my problem.
Back in [redacted], while in the States, I published a book called "The Christian Soldier's Field Manual" and used my American phone number at the time. However, I am now in Austria with a different phone number. I have also published a second book titled "I LOVE AUSTRIA." Upon trying to log in recently, I realized I could not access my account due to the outdated phone number associated with it.
Given that the two-step verification process sends messages to my old number, which is no longer in use, I am unable to log in successfully. I am seeking assistance from KDP to address this issue promptly. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
