I have reached out to Groupon multiple times regarding a misleading purchase. In January, I spent $40 on a massage voucher for my mother as a gift. However, upon attempting to redeem the voucher at the specified location, she was met with confusion and rudeness. It turns out the salon primarily caters to African American hair care, which was not disclosed in the deal. Furthermore, they only had a male therapist available, which made my mother uncomfortable.
I contacted Groupon for assistance, and they suggested trading in the voucher, but there is no clear option to do so on the platform. Despite weeks of back-and-forth, I have not received a satisfactory resolution. With the business set to close in two days, I urgently need guidance on how to proceed, as I do not want to lose the $40 spent. I am looking to find a way to book a different massage for my mother using the funds from the original purchase. Thank you for any help you can provide.

I have contacted Groupon multiple times regarding a massage deal I purchased that turned out to be misleading. The establishment in question is a predominantly African American hair salon, not a massage facility as advertised. When my mother called, the staff was unhelpful and unaware of the Groupon deal. They mentioned there's only one male therapist available, which made my mother uncomfortable. There seems to be no option for a refund or exchange, especially since the salon is closing on July 29, just two days away. I hope to receive guidance on how to proceed as I would prefer to use the $40 I paid for a massage at a legitimate spa. Thank you.

I bought a Groupon deal for a haircut and hair color package last November. When I tried to book an appointment with the salon owner, he claimed to be too busy and insisted only his niece could do it. He wanted me to cancel the Groupon, rebook with his niece, and pay her directly. I declined and haven't been able to secure an appointment since. The salon owner now refuses to honor the original Groupon price since it expired, instead offering to credit me towards a new service, which actually costs more! This situation has caused me a lot of stress and frustration over the past 8 months. I want to be reimbursed for the Groupon and compensated for the inconvenience.

My daughter, Alix F., was wrongly charged for a Groupon purchase she did not make. She was traveling in Europe at the time of the supposed transaction. We contacted Groupon, but they claimed they could not assist. This purchase for men's hair removal, costing over $[redacted], was clearly a mistake. Refusing a refund is unacceptable. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will close both our accounts, dispute the charge with the bank, and report Groupon's unhelpful behavior to consumer affairs. Alix was not using her Groupon during her travels, and this charge must be reversed without delay. Thank you for addressing this matter promptly. Jody W.-F.

I bought a Fandango movie ticket voucher at half price, paying $13 for a $26 voucher. I used it for a recent movie purchase, but the amount didn't cover the full value. I thought the remaining balance would stay on the voucher for another purchase. However, when I tried to use it again on Fandango.com, the code was invalid. After reading the fine print closely, I realized it's for single use only, something not clearly communicated at the time of purchase. It seems unreasonable that the whole value must be spent at once, especially with theater discount days available. If I had known it was one-time use only, I wouldn't have bought it. Disappointing discovery. The redemption code is F65H-GBDA27-22fH. Contact email: [redacted]

Order [redacted] was delivered in an oversized box with the dehumidifier inside, poorly packed with bubble wrap to fill the large open spaces. Unfortunately, the box was crushed, leading to top of the dehumidifier being cracked. Despite being sold a 2-year warranty, it was claimed that the item is non-returnable.
I have pictures of the damage and have attempted to contact customer service through various channels with no response. It seems that Groupon lacks customer service and does not prioritize customer satisfaction. I am planning to report this to the BBB to seek resolution.

I had a terrible experience with Krispi Clean Services today. The cleaner was meant to arrive at 11am, but no one picked up the phone until noon. Even after explaining my urgency to have someone there before 1pm, the cleaner didn't arrive or call until 1:50pm, long after I had left for work. The lack of communication and professionalism was frustrating. I had to clean my room myself, which resulted in a back injury. I ordered the cleaning service specifically due to health issues and the upcoming visit of guests. I am seeking a full refund and compensation for the inconvenience and physical strain caused by this ordeal. This situation has left me very upset and disappointed. Regards, M.

My mother, a Hispanic woman who doesn't speak English well, booked a surprise hotel stay for us at a Quality Inn in Florida. I understood the dates and amounts, but when we arrived at the hotel at 10 am, we were turned away because we are under 21. My friend and I couldn't check-in due to age restrictions, and my mother didn't realize this when booking. I am now seeking a refund, as we were not able to stay. I was informed by a Groupon representative that I should have canceled within two days, but we weren't aware of the age restriction until arrival.

I bought a Shark ION Robot [redacted], but it's not functioning properly since I received it. Despite multiple attempts by my family members, it only moves in circles. I am requesting a replacement or a refund. Please review my purchase history on this site; I have been a frequent shopper, but this issue has led me to consider this my final purchase. Thank you.

I have had positive experiences with Groupon merchants before, but my recent afternoon tea experience at the Red Lion Henley on Thames was extremely disappointing. The fruit cake was burnt, the scones were overcooked, and the tea was served in chipped cups. When I mentioned this to the manager, she was defensive and explained that since it was a Groupon voucher, we got what we paid for based on the voucher price (£60). However, the quality was nowhere near that value. We left most of the afternoon tea to avoid further conflict. The manager declined to provide a refund, citing the Groupon transaction. Can you assist with a refund for this unsatisfactory experience?

I reached out to Groupon a few weeks ago regarding a voucher I purchased for Denver Improv. When I tried to book a show, I was informed the voucher couldn't be used for "special events," which according to them, encompass all their scheduled shows. Despite being assured that a manager would follow up, I never received any further communication. Had I known the voucher wasn't valid for Improv shows or that it excluded all their events, I would not have made the purchase. Groupon mentioned someone would get in touch with me, but I haven't received any emails on this issue.

I recently booked a stay at Reunion Resort through Groupon and feel that the information provided was misleading. I was expecting accommodations in the main resort but ended up in a townhome two miles away without the amenities I was looking forward to, such as room service. The Groupon did not make it clear that we would be in a separate location. The check-in process was also confusing, as it took over an hour to locate the office. The lack of clear signage added to the frustration. The receptionist was unhelpful and dismissive of my concerns. This experience was disappointing and not what I expected. I am considering not using Groupon in the future due to this misleading information. I believe a refund in this situation would be appropriate given the circumstances.

Subject: Trade-in Process Confirmation and Groupon Bucks
Hello Racquel,
I appreciate your well wishes for my husband's recovery. Thank you for successfully enabling my trade-in. I have noted the steps to start the process and the expiring date of my trade-in.
Concerning my Groupon Bucks amounting to $5.00, I would like clarification on why this amount seems low. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your help,
Patti L.

Hello! This will be my third time ordering silver from you. I accidentally placed an order two nights ago, thinking I would have time to cancel it before it went through. Unfortunately, due to a formatting issue, the order was placed accidentally. Within the first hour, I tried to cancel it, but couldn't find the order on the website. I attempted to call, but no one was available. By the second hour, I emailed customer service to cancel the order. It's frustrating that there's a strict 2-hour window policy when it's impossible to reach anyone for help. In the past, there was a phone number for customer service. When I tried to use the online chat yesterday, the representative disconnected the call abruptly. I want to cancel these orders promptly before they ship out, as they are likely just sitting there and haven't been processed yet. Please respond to my third email as soon as possible.

I recently bought a CPR class, but I'm being asked to pay an additional fee of $[redacted] for the course. I'm confused why I need to pay extra after purchasing the Groupon deal. The customer service representatives at Laurel Canyon have been unhelpful and rude when I mentioned the Groupon. I need clarification on whether I truly have to cover the extra cost. If this is the case, I might consider canceling the Groupon as the discount seems pointless if I have to pay the full price regardless. Your prompt response would be appreciated.

Dear Groupon Customer Support,
I have been a loyal Groupon customer for the past four years and have always been satisfied with my bookings and purchases. However, I recently had a disappointing experience with a booking I made for the Quality Inn waterpark through Groupon.
On 7/29, I purchased a Groupon for the waterpark at Quality Inn. Upon arrival, we were promised a quiet room but found the condition to be subpar with missing amenities, stained bedsheets, and malfunctioning air conditioning. Despite multiple complaints about noise coming from the neighboring room throughout the night, the issue was not adequately addressed by the reception staff. Additionally, the water temperature in the waterpark was so cold that it made two of my kids sick.
This experience was far from the relaxing getaway I had hoped for my family. I urge Groupon to investigate this matter and consider a refund due to the lack of accommodation and respect for customer concerns shown by the hotel staff.
I can provide more details and confirmation of my complaints with the hotel staff if needed. Please contact me at my phone number [redacted] to further discuss this issue.
Sincerely,
An unhappy customer

I'm Angela T. I bought a Groupon for a facial recently, but noticed it expires in 90 days which seems shorter than usual. With just over a month left, I tried to book, but the provider is fully booked until after my Groupon expires on August 5th. She suggested I ask Groupon for an extension. I prefer an extension until the end of August to not lose the value. If that's not possible, I may want to cancel for a Groupon credit due to her limited availability. My order number is [redacted]43.

I need assistance with an issue I experienced when trying to purchase three sessions in the salt room at a spa in Cedar Rapids. I encountered difficulty with the website charging me multiple times for the same purchase attempts. Despite reaching out to the owner, who directed me to contact Groupon for resolution, I found the process frustrating and overwhelming. As a result, I abandoned my attempts to resolve the matter. I am reaching out again for assistance in addressing this matter. My account information is under the name Ann K, with the email [redacted] The incident occurred some time ago, but it has been weighing on me, and I would appreciate your help in rectifying the situation.
