My account was hacked, and the hacker changed my phone number, email address, and took $[redacted] from my account. After receiving an email notification from Walmart money card about the transaction, I tried to reset my password, only to discover the phone number and email had been altered. I contacted Green Dot, filed a dispute for the $[redacted] and remaining $[redacted], and submitted my ID, utility bill, and a certified letter with my information multiple times. Despite their denial, I filed another dispute and reported the incident to various agencies, including the BBB, Identity Theft, Com, and the Attorney General. The $[redacted] I had on the card is crucial as I am on short-term disability due to a recent fall, preventing me from working until September. Falling behind on my car payment and credit cards, this money was intended to cover my expenses. Despite following their instructions, I am persisting until I receive my money back. Green Dot needs to be held accountable for their actions, and I hope to see a resolution soon. Thank you for listening to my complaint and assisting me in getting my funds restored.

As a long-time customer of Green Dot Bank, I have utilized my account for bill payments and supporting my family. However, on 6/1/21, my account was inexplicably restricted, with unfamiliar email and phone number details appearing upon login. Despite maintaining the same email and phone number for my account for around 7 to 9 years, I encountered difficulties while trying to resolve this issue. After multiple frustrating attempts to address the problem by phone, I reached out to Green Dot/Walmart for assistance. Although I requested my account to be closed, I still received a new card that I did not wish to have as my account had been compromised. An unauthorized individual managed to access my account, change my account information, and withdraw approximately $[redacted] from my account as well as $6,[redacted] - $7,[redacted] from my savings, all the way in Pasadena, California, despite me living in Michigan and never making such a withdrawal. This situation has severely impacted me, causing PTSD, depression, and paranoia, affecting not only me but also my family. I seek help in resolving this distressing issue promptly.

Hello, I have encountered difficulties with accessing my funds after misplacing my Green Dot card. Despite seeking assistance from customer service, I have only been able to retrieve $[redacted] on a temporary card, leaving $[redacted] in my account inaccessible. This has put me in a challenging situation, as I am currently living in a tent with my children and facing upcoming back-to-school expenses. Despite the efforts of Green Dot employees, I have struggled to log in to my account due to issues with receiving a new card at the correct address. The frustration and disappointment have been overwhelming. I am hopeful for a resolution soon. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am having trouble accessing my Green Dot account. Although I can log in with my username and password, the email and phone number linked to the account have been changed. I contacted Green Dot, provided all the necessary information, including correctly identifying the last deposit, but still couldn't gain access. After being initially told I could access the account, I was disconnected by three different supervisors, which left me frustrated. I feel they are making it unnecessarily complicated for me to access my own money, even though I possess the card and have verified my identity multiple times. Previously, they changed the email on my other Green Dot account without issue, allowing me full access. I believe they should grant me access to this account as well, especially since my and my wife's money is tied up in it. It seems unfair that they could do it for one account but are refusing to do it for the other.

I am having trouble accessing my account on Green Dot because I no longer have access to my previous phone number and email address. Despite providing all the correct information to verify my identity, Green Dot won't allow me to change my email on this specific account, even though they did so for my other account two weeks ago. I believe they should let me upload documentation to verify my ID, similar to what they did for my wife who had her account blocked. It's frustrating that I can't access my account and get a new card, especially when they have previously reactivated a canceled card for me. Green Dot, please allow me to verify my identity by uploading my ID so I can unlock my account.

I've had two accounts with Green Dot, and twice fallen victim to an "account take over." On February 26, [redacted], my entire Social Security deposit was stolen. Despite reporting the account takeover two days before my scheduled deposit, I received no protection and was wrongly treated as the criminal. After my account was recovered, I found proof that over $1,[redacted] was transferred without my knowledge via an email I've never used. Green Dot hasn't taken any action to recover my funds, despite providing evidence of the fraudulent transaction. Each agent I spoke to denies any fraud claim was filed. I haven't received any updates on the investigation or any reimbursement. My online account has been blocked again, and I've reported and closed it. I'm now awaiting my replacement card, which was supposed to be expedited. As a single mother on Social Security disability, I urgently need access to my funds. I feel unprotected by Green Dot and wonder if legal action is necessary to recover my money.

I purchased a Green Dot card at Walmart less than a day ago intending to use it for bills. To my surprise, within hours, Green Dot deducted fees that left me in a negative balance. There was no mention of the immediate $7.95 fee upon purchase, making me question its legality. Over the years, Green Dot has taken $[redacted] from me through similar actions. I am now investigating the frequency of these incidents and considering filing a complaint with the appropriate authorities. It seems unfair to charge fees on the same day of purchase, even before using the card. This practice feels deceptive and could be perceived as a potential scam.

Last week, I contacted customer service regarding unauthorized card usage. After filing a fraud claim, I received a replacement card promptly. However, when I attempted to use it at 7-Eleven, the card was declined multiple times. Despite assurances from the representatives, the issue persisted. When inquiring about expediting a new card, I was informed it would cost $15 and take an additional week to arrive. Frustrated by the delays, I opted not to proceed with the overnight option. The representative mentioned the card would arrive by August 25th. I am still experiencing difficulties and seek a resolution. My name is Ralph A., and I can be reached at abramsralphie@ yahoo.com.

I lost my Greendot card that I've had since [redacted], it ends in [redacted]. This specific card is essential to me because it's where my direct deposit from Clifty Farms, my tax refunds for 2[redacted], and my stimulus payments were received. I believe there should be $1,[redacted].00 on the card. I am struggling to order a replacement card as I've moved multiple times over the past 2 years and can't recall the address associated with the account. I can provide all the addresses and phone numbers from the last 2 years, my driver's license, birth certificate, and account & routing number. Unfortunately, I can't access my online account because I no longer have the same phone number or email. I urgently need to resolve this and retrieve my funds. I am willing to provide any necessary information to recover my Greendot account. I have been a loyal customer and recommended Greendot to many others. I need assistance with this issue. Please contact me as soon as possible. Thank you.

I am facing issues with registering for a secure login to add funds to my debit card using a MoneyPak Green Dot card. Despite following all the steps, I keep getting an error message stating my request cannot be processed due to exceeding login attempts. I've tried using different phone numbers and email addresses but to no avail. After verifying my information, I am unable to log in as my login credentials are not recognized, prompting me to repeat the process from the beginning. I urgently need to add funds to my debit card for an important matter and the lack of support is frustrating. Can I please speak with a representative for assistance? Thank you. - ES

I submitted a dispute over a month and a half ago. They mentioned I would receive an update within 10 days and a new card with the funds while they investigate. I completed the dispute on the phone and also sent the forms through mail, including hospital documents to prove I was admitted during the fraudulent charges. However, I have not received a new card or funds yet. I am frustrated and considering legal action. My dispute confirmation number is [redacted]4c. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

I am experiencing difficulty adding the Moneypak to my Walmart Moneycard. I cannot access my account due to forgotten login information from years ago. My contact details may have changed, and my last name might be different. After filling out the reset form for login issues, I do not receive the reset password link as expected. It has been two days, and I am still unable to load the Moneypak, causing frustration. Customer service has been unhelpful, and I urgently need access to my funds. I require assistance with resetting my password or retrieving my login information. Why is resolving this matter proving to be so challenging?

I lost my Green Dot debit card on Friday, August 27, [redacted], around 1:30pm after buying a filter from Twins Aquarium store. Following that purchase, all transactions were not authorized by me. I am Tawana Greene. Despite canceling the card, unauthorized charges of $11 and $43 appeared on my statement. I had thought the card was locked, but purchases went through. I urgently need to address these discrepancies. Connecting with a live representative through the customer service number has been challenging. Please reach out to me at [redacted] to resolve this matter promptly or provide a direct line to speak with a representative. Thank you.

I recently faced issues with my Green Dot prepaid Visa card while trying to complete the registration process. Due to repeated error messages and a potential threat of card cancellation, I hurriedly entered information resulting in the card being locked. I am now unable to access my funds online, which is concerning as my insurance is set to cancel at midnight. I am unable to retrieve my information due to the security alert and must wait for a new card. This delay puts me at risk of losing my insurance and having to rely on expensive transportation for my daily [redacted]-mile commute. Any assistance in expediting the recovery process or obtaining details about the new card would be greatly appreciated.

My checking account with a Green Dot card was hacked on April 28, [redacted], and $[redacted] was stolen. Upon calling customer service to report the incident and deactivate my card, I encountered difficulties. The representatives had strong accents, making it hard to communicate. Requesting a new representative or a supervisor was met with reluctance. After being informed to file a dispute, I endured numerous transfers and lengthy hold times, often exceeding an hour. While they eventually approved my request for a reimbursement, it has been over five months without receiving the refund. Weekly follow-up calls yield excuses, including claims that the check is in the mail. My advice based on this experience is to avoid Green Dot accounts, despite their previous functionality before the hacking incident.

I have been a loyal customer of Walmart Money Card from Greendot Bank for over a decade with no issues. In August [redacted], I received a significant disability deposit of almost $30,[redacted] due to my service-related disabilities as a Vietnam Veteran. Upon receiving an email about an unauthorized email change request, I contacted the customer service number on the back of my card. Unfortunately, the representative I spoke to from the Philippines had a poor connection and language barrier, making communication difficult. They claimed my email wasn't associated with my account and requested various addresses that were not linked to my account as well before abruptly ending the call. After contacting them again, I learned that my account was blocked and was instructed to email [redacted] with specific documents, which I promptly did. However, I have not received any response, leaving me in financial and emotional distress as all my funds were on the card and my automatic bill payments are now disrupted. I eagerly await resolution and access to my money.

My name is Dale W. Bonner, and I am an Uber driver in St. Louis. I had a Uber Visa card with the last 4 digits - [redacted], which was hacked around the middle to end of May [redacted]. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this issue with your team, I have not received the promised refund. I have provided all requested documentation to [redacted] for the "Refund-Request Takeover," but each time I follow up, I am told to wait another 2 weeks with no resolution. I am frustrated and exhausted from the repeated attempts to get my $[redacted].00 back. I urge an official with authority to step in and facilitate the return of my money promptly, whether through a check, money order, cashier's check, or a replacement Visa card with the funds loaded. I have done my part, now it's time for you to fulfill your promise. Thank you.

My account was unexpectedly closed on August 5th due to unusual activity, despite having a balance of over $[redacted] deposited by a local state agency. The customer service representatives I have interacted with have been uncooperative, making it challenging to communicate effectively. As per the account agreement, any remaining funds are supposed to be returned to me via a paper check. However, I have been informed that the initiator of the deposit needs to request the funds back. Despite reaching out to the deposit payor, they have stated that they do not retrieve payments once they are sent. In an effort to resolve this issue, I sent copies of my ID card and proof of payments to the account to the email provided by Green Dot over a week ago, but I have not received any confirmation or response yet. When contacting customer support for both the payor and Go2Bank, I am only given limited options and no clear resolution, leaving me, the claimant and account owner, in a challenging situation.

Hello. I've been attempting to buy chat time credits on CharmDate.com using a GreenDot Visa Debit card, but the purchase keeps getting denied by GreenDot Visa due to it not matching my typical online purchase behavior. Although I successfully bought credits with a different Green Dot Visa Debit card on CharmDate in the past, this issue persists. I've already spoken with two Green Dot Visa customer service representatives and a supervisor, but the problem remains unresolved. Please help me resolve this matter so I can buy chat time credits on CharmDate. Thank you, Michael J. Barlow.

I have been using my account, received direct deposits from Walmart, and paid bills without any issues. However, on 8/31/21, my second deposit was restricted for ID verification. I promptly submitted the required documents, but faced challenges with the mobile upload link. Instead, I emailed the photos to multiple addresses provided by different representatives. Despite sending over [redacted] photos, my account was closed, and now I cannot reach anyone by phone. This situation is urgent as my utilities have been disconnected, and I need access to my funds to care for my children. Please assist me in reopening my account or returning the funds to my employer. I urgently need a resolution.
