I simply wanted to check my credit score, but I have been charged $21 per month for the past three months without realizing it until recently. I did not intend to sign up for a membership program, especially not the most expensive one. I only visited your site once to check my score and did not agree to any membership. This practice of automatically enrolling customers without explicit consent is unfair and deceiving. I have seen other companies doing the same thing, and it is not right to hide these details in fine print. I will be disputing these charges.

Dear Jerry, I am reaching out on behalf of Direct Energy LP (“Direct Energy”) regarding a recent data security incident that occurred on November 3, [redacted], at a vendor providing data analytics services for us. Your security is our top priority, and we want to inform you about the incident and suggest security measures to safeguard your personal information. What occurred: On November 3, [redacted], we were alerted to a ransomware attack at one of our data analytics vendors resulting in unauthorized access to client files, including some containing Direct Energy customer information. The vendor did not pay the ransom and immediately took steps to contain the situation and stop unauthorized access. Information involved: Your username and password were impacted, potentially exposing your personal information. Actions taken: The vendor has initiated measures to address the incident, such as notifying law enforcement, securing their system, and conducting a forensic investigation. We have ceased operations with this vendor, informed major credit card companies, and imposed a system-wide password change as a precaution. When you next log in, you will be prompted to reset your password. We advise changing your passwords on any other accounts where similar login credentials were used. To assist in safeguarding your identity, we are offering a two-year Experian’s® IdentityWorksSM membership. Dear Experian, I have been attempting to reach a customer service representative for several days regarding an issue that is not covered in your FAQs. Unfortunately, my problem is not listed as an option when trying to contact support. The reset password link is being sent to my old military email address, which I no longer have access to since my retirement in December [redacted]. I would greatly appreciate it if a human representative could reach out to me at [redacted] or via email at [redacted] to help me resolve this frustrating situation. Thank you, A Frustrated Customer

I had an Experian account for FREE because of a data breach at a company where I use my Discover credit card. The company provided Experian monitoring as an apology. I have other paid credit and identity monitoring services and do not want to "renew" my Experian subscription.

I require technical assistance with the Experian website. I believe I may have entered the wrong email address on my application, preventing me from freezing or unfreezing my account. The website now requests that I send personal identification documents via certified mail. I simply want to regain online access to manage my freezes and see no logical reason for their stringent ID requirements, as I face no such issues with Equifax and Transunion. I am seeking to speak with a customer service representative in the USA at Experian and request a direct contact number. Thank you. - Dorian G., 12-8-20, 6:00 pm EST.

Hello, My name is James C Fettinger. I unfroze my account back in November for a potential car loan, then repeated the process on November 29th and attempted again yesterday using identical information, only to have my account locked after entering the correct information last night. I then tried to do the same for my wife Sanne with the correct information, only to find her account is now locked as well. Your website is requesting a lot of personal information to unlock the accounts, which I am hesitant about sending by mail. We are looking to buy a car this weekend, so this unexpected freeze is causing us inconvenience.

We are looking to unfreeze our account to set up a new account at the local Suncoast branch in Hudson, FL. Having recently sold our home in Hudson, FL, we now have approximately $[redacted],[redacted] in our local bank's money market account. Our closing on the new property is scheduled for tomorrow, and all financial arrangements have been completed. Our new address will be [redacted] Seagull Drive, Unit #[redacted], New Port Richey, FL [redacted]. Our phone number will remain the same, [redacted]. We are debt-free and will not have a mortgage on the new property. Despite our efforts to unfreeze the account over the phone, it has been challenging due to my Parkinson's condition, which makes it difficult to press the phone buttons quickly.

I would like to temporarily lift the credit freeze on my credit report, as my wife Joy Crowley and I are moving to a new permanent home. Our current address is a temporary residence for elderly or handicapped individuals located at [redacted] Driftwood Drive, Hudson, Florida. Tomorrow, we will be closing on a home at [redacted] Seagull Drive, New Port Richey, Florida [redacted], where we will reside permanently. Our phone number ([redacted]) will remain the same. We are looking to unfreeze our account to open a new account at Suncoast Credit Union in Hudson, Florida. It seems that unlocking our Experian account is a requirement for this process. Despite several unsuccessful attempts to lift the freeze via phone due to my struggle with Parkinson's, we are debt-free, with a credit score ranging between [redacted] and [redacted]. Thank you for your assistance.

I am a victim of identity theft and was told to freeze my credit reports. I successfully froze my TransUnion and Equifax reports. However, when attempting to freeze my Experian report, I discovered an old account had been opened, possibly by me but I can't recall. I need to update my contact information to freeze and unfreeze my report when necessary. Please contact me at [redacted] or via email at [redacted]. Thank you for your assistance.

I have had an extremely frustrating experience with this IVR system. I have wasted over half an hour trying to get in touch with a representative. This whole ordeal has made me reluctant to call again or keep using this service. I was thinking of upgrading my account, but now I am inclined to sever all ties with your company. I already set up a fraud alert and now I am struggling to reach you to discuss this matter. I am extremely dissatisfied and anxious about my identity due to an alert your company sent me, and now I am unable to get through to anyone.

I am looking to apply for a credit card. After unfreezing my Experian account following the [redacted] hacking incident, I briefly allowed access for a Visa Nordstrom card in October but encountered issues. Upon refreezing and unfreezing again, I faced a series of verification requests including providing my social security card, utility bill, and identification documents. Despite confirming good credit, I have been unable to reach a customer service representative, except for a brief interaction mentioning technical difficulties. The process of unfreezing my credit has been frustrating with repetitive steps and no assistance, leaving me feeling overwhelmed given my responsibilities as a healthcare worker. How can I connect with someone to resolve this efficiently?

I am currently trying to temporarily lift the credit freeze on my account for one day to pursue home refinancing. I am encountering issues when entering my personal information. I have the original PIN used in [redacted] to set up the freeze. Despite entering the correct PIN, I continue to receive a prompt stating that my PIN is required when I attempt to submit the form. I am at a standstill and unsure of how to proceed with the temporary lift. Any guidance on how to move forward from this point would be greatly appreciated as I am unable to progress further with the lift process.

I recently placed an order online for a book/pamphlets from Dr. Marlene Merritt on perlmanhealth.com. The website hung up after I input my credit card information. I tried calling back a couple of times with no response. Eventually, I called [redacted] and spoke to a representative who claimed they didn't receive any order from me today, which I found concerning. I realized I should have checked the website thoroughly before placing the order to avoid such issues in the future.

I'm attempting to temporarily lift the credit freeze on my Experian account from 12/18/[redacted] to 01/03/[redacted]. I've tried calling their customer service multiple times, following their telephone prompts without success. Despite their instructions to call instead of mailing a letter, every time I finish the phone process, I'm directed to submit a written request. I'm struggling to follow the telephone instructions and would prefer not to resort to sending a letter.

I've been unable to access my Experian account for the last five days. When I visit the website, all I see is a list of sections, but nothing opens when I click on them. I attempted to sign in, but it says I've been blocked. Since I rely on my Experian account frequently, I need to regain access. I recently received an email from Experian about having trouble monitoring my account, but I haven't opened it as I'm unsure if it's legit. I've tried using three different browsers to resolve this, but so far, no luck. Any assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I attempted to lift my credit freeze over the phone but encountered confusion with the prompts. It instructed me to provide my PIN and seemed to remove the freeze, only to later state that I needed to send documentation to Experian. I am unsure if my freeze is actually lifted or if it's pending the mailed information. The phone system's instructions were unclear and frustrating.

I have been repeatedly charged around $25 per month by Experian for a service that I did not authorize, leading to a total drain on my accounts. Despite reporting my identity theft situation and providing numerous reports, I have not received any resolution from Experian. These unauthorized charges appear on two different accounts of mine, causing severe financial strain. Although I may have had an Experian account in the past, I have not accessed it or my credit report in over a year. The constant financial burden has forced me to take legal action against the fraud and harassment I have been facing. It is a distressing situation that needs immediate attention.

I have noticed a $[redacted] negative entry on my credit report. I possess a photo of an email from Spectrum showing a $0.00 balance that I would like to use as evidence that I do not owe them anything. I had a conversation with the collection agency about this bill with a $0 balance and was informed that they did not need me to send it to them as it would be taken care of. However, it seems that they did not receive the information as the negative entry remains on my report. I believe submitting this document to you will assist in removing this erroneous information from my file.

I discovered unauthorized activity on my account linked to a card ending in [redacted] that does not belong to me. Fraudulent information, including unfamiliar addresses and a misleading credit history, is affecting my FICO score adversely. I request the removal of this incorrect data from my credit report and the restoration of my FICO score. Someone is misusing my identity for illegal purposes, and I urge for stricter security measures to safeguard my credit information. Despite removing the unauthorized card and adding my own to Experian Boost, the false information persists, and my FICO score is now unavailable. I recently addressed fraudulent entries with a representative, which temporarily restored my FICO score. Please rectify this situation promptly. My details are as follows: Laquesha Ross, last four of social [redacted].
