Recently, I made a ticket purchase with Air Canada and I am interested in receiving credit for the points earned from this transaction.
However, I have relocated several times since I first opened the account, causing me to forget the old address and phone number linked to the account. Due to this, I am unable to reset my password and update my new address. I am unsure of how to proceed to regain access to my old account. Any guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Feeling anxious - seeking help for meeting the May 30 deadline (today is May 27): I need to prevent a large number of points from expiring before the May 30 midnight deadline according to Aeroplan's message on how to avoid points expiration with their new non-expiry policy post-COVID. I've been attempting for 2-3 weeks to sign in to my account to initiate activity and ensure its active status, but I'm encountering a roadblock. Background: I've held the same account since [redacted] with the same account number, card details, and password. While my account isn't very active, I continue to receive promotional emails from Aeroplan, indicating they are aware of my presence. Issue at hand: I face difficulties completing the sign-in process; after entering my account number and password, I receive a verification number within 5-10 minutes. However, upon entering it, I receive an error prompt requesting a 6-digit number they allegedly sent, which I had just input. I suspect two possible issues: I may have missed the Nov.8/22 deadline regarding consent to Aeroplan's Privacy Policy, which would result in no online account access, and Aeroplan has introduced a new interface/dashboard that I'm unable to access to rectify these issues or identify other potential problems. My account was compromised, and someone attempted to make flight bookings using my Aeroplan number. Despite their failed attempt, my account got locked. I had a conversation with a representative a month ago, and she confirmed that my account was unlocked. However, when I attempted to use my points for a flight recently, I realized that my account is still inactive. For the past week, I've been attempting to speak with a representative without success. It seems they are severely understaffed, making it nearly impossible to reach a live person. The automated phone system is unhelpful, with no option to hold for assistance. This experience has been the worst customer service I've encountered with any major airline carrier.

I need assistance with checking my Aeroplan points balance. I called the toll-free number, provided my Aeroplan number but forgot my PIN. I requested to speak with a live agent to update my account information since my email address has been updated. To authenticate my identity, they asked for my street address number, which did not work. The system directed me to Aeroplan.com, My Settings, Account Security, but I need my Aeroplan number to proceed, and they send an email to the outdated address. I'm having trouble remembering my Aeroplan password. I used the "forgot password" option yesterday and received a password reset email. I received an email from Aeroplan advising me to change my password. Upon trying to log in with my old password, I was unable to access my account, so I followed the prompt in the email to reset my password. However, the new password was not accepted. I am having trouble accessing my account. When attempting to create a new account, it indicates that my information is already linked to an existing account. After clicking on the 'forgot Aeroplan number' link and providing my details, the website states that my account is not connected to an email address and advises me to contact the Aeroplan customer service center. I cancelled my deceased husband's Aeroplan account on September 24 and applied for a new account as his spouse to transfer his points to my new account. I submitted all required documentation, such as his will, marriage certificate, and death certificate. However, his account was not cancelled, and I received a new card with my name and a new account number. Despite my attempts, I cannot log into my account as my deceased husband's information keeps appearing. I haven't used my Aeroplan account for 2 years, and I recently changed my email address. I can no longer access my old email, so I need to update my Aeroplan profile to sign in.
