In fact, much of this information on this page is superfluous because this KitchenAid phone number is a direct line to a human being. The line is well-staffed and you should anticipate a very short wait on hold or none whatsoever, as long as you are calling during business hours.
We don't know of any phone menus you would encounter when calling either.

What are the hours and when should I call?

KitchenAid operates the call center for this 800-422-1230 phone number Mon-Tue 8am-8pm, Wed-Fri 9am-7pm. The short answer is that you should call on a Wednesday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 172 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).

Automatically call when they open

When you use our free AI-powered phone to call and talk, wait on hold, or navigate for you, it will automatically wait until the KitchenAid call center opens before trying to call. It will ask your permission before it places the call, so you can also further delay that scheduled call until you are ready. But that means you can "set it and forget it" ahead of time.
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this KitchenAid phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like KitchenAid staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call KitchenAid is Wednesday. The most busy day to call is Tuesday, which averages 46% more phone calls by comparison. Again, this is based on a sample of 172 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Wednesday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Friday.
But if you use our free call and talk for me or wait on hold for me service, you don't really need to worry about average wait times.

The best time to call KitchenAid

In summation, the best day to call KitchenAid is Wednesday. In this case, it's a no-brainer. Wednesday is not only the least busy day for calling this KitchenAid number, but it is also the day with the shortest hold times.
Once again, please put this information in perspective because this phone number has no phone menu or long waits. It generally gets picked up right away if calling during their opening hours. If there is any way, it will typically be very short.

Calling this KitchenAid Customer Number

Dec 26, 2023

When calling KitchenAid for customer service or product information, callers should be prepared to spend time on the phone navigating the various options. I called KitchenAid to speak with a representative about a new gas range and it took nearly 15 minutes to wade through the automated menus and connect with a representative.

Callers are given two options when the automated system begins: press 1 for help with major appliances or 2 for countertop/small appliances. I chose 1 since I wanted to discuss potential gas ranges. After this, the recording tells callers to press 1 for Spanish or stay on the line for English. I was next given a menu of choices including service/product help, ordering parts, order assistance, warranty help or product registration. I was also told to press 0 to repeat the menu and needed to do this once.

After I figured out I needed to speak with someone regarding product help, I selected that choice and waited while another recording informed me that 24-hour online service is available at Whirlpool's website. A quick online search revealed that KitchenAid is owned by Whirlpool, a fact I didn't know. In addition, the automated system also reminded me that scheduling appliance service is only advisable for those who haven't been exposed to and/or experienced Covid-19 symptoms within the last 5 days.

At this point in the call, I was given the option to choose product support based on either a product I've already purchased or one I wanted to purchase. I went with the latter and waited on the phone to be connected to a representative. However, I was prompted to enter in my phone number, which wasn't found in the system. This makes sense as I hadn't purchased anything from KitchenAid.

I was put on a brief hold as the automated system reported that I was being directed to the appropriate department. After a five-minute wait, I was finally connected to a representative who asked how she could help me. Explaining that I was considering a new gas range, the rep asked me questions regarding my budget, the type of range I currently have and the reason for seeking a new one. As I shared that my gas stove is aging and would need to be replaced soon, the rep directed me to KitchenAid's website to consider a few options available. She explained that as a new customer, I could take advantage of discounts on large appliances.

Most online orders over a specific price qualify for free shipping, the rep let me know, but I could also visit local retailers to see the gas range in person and purchase there. This seemed like a better option and she provided a list of a few stores nearby. However, she advised me to consider an online purchase directly from KitchenAid as I may get a better deal. I appreciated the rep's help and recommendations without any pressure to make an immediate decision.

Why Customers Call KitchenAid

If you have time to do a bit of reading before you call KitchenAid, we recommend you read over some of our problem-specific articles.

Are KitchenAid appliances dishwasher safe?

Yes, KitchenAid appliances are dishwasher safe. We understand the convenience and time-saving aspect of using a dishwasher, so we design our appliances to be dishwasher safe whenever possible. However, it is important to refer to the specific product's user manual for detailed cleaning instructions. Some components or attachments may need to be removed and washed by hand to ensure their longevity and optimal performance. Additionally, certain models may have specific dishwasher settings or temperature limitations that users should be aware of. Regular maintenance and care, as advised in the user manual, will help extend the lifespan and preserve the appearance of your KitchenAid appliances.

What is the warranty period for KitchenAid appliances?

The warranty period for KitchenAid appliances varies depending on the specific appliance. Generally, KitchenAid appliances come with a one-year limited warranty that covers any manufacturing defects or faults in materials or workmanship. However, some appliances may have an extended warranty period, such as the 10-year limited warranty offered on the motor of select stand mixers. To determine the exact warranty period for a particular KitchenAid appliance, it is recommended to refer to the product's user manual or contact KitchenAid customer service. Additionally, registering the appliance on the KitchenAid website can provide access to additional warranty benefits and coverage.

What is the return policy for KitchenAid appliances?

KitchenAid offers a customer-friendly return policy for its appliances. Should you encounter any issues or wish to return a product, they accept returns within 30 days of purchase. To be eligible for a return, the item must be in its original packaging and in like-new condition. Also, make sure to retain your receipt or proof of purchase as it will be required. If you purchased directly from KitchenAid, an online return process is available, making it easy and convenient. Conversely, if you bought your appliance from an authorized retailer, you need to initiate the return through that specific store. Keep in mind that shipping and handling fees for returns may apply.
