Calling this number was fairly straightforward, as I got the information I needed without much fuss or without even needing to go through to speak to someone. When I called, I was asked for the department I wanted for my call to Ashley, with the menu making it seem like this was more of a call to Ashley's corporate offices rather than customer service. Some of the options included things such as their HR department, which I'm not sure why most callers would ever need. 

I chose to speak to Ashley Furniture, and I was asked for the reason for my call. I said that I wanted to know the return policy on an item, and the system said that it would need to know if my purchase was through the Ashley website or if I had made the purchase in-store. I said in-store, and the system said that individual locations varied on their return policy, and I would need to either check my paperwork or call the store to find out their specific policy.

I then asked to go back to the previous menu and asked for the online return policy. This time, it told me that anything that was purchased at Ashley's website could be returned within 30 days for any reason at all. If a return was outside the 30-day window, it would only be applicable for a manufacturing defect, and only in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty.
