YouTube creators upload videos daily for others to enjoy or learn from, and one of the goals is to get regular viewers or subscribers to their channel. Getting subscribers and views is necessary to generate income from your YouTube channel, but how can you add a subscribe button to your channel? You can learn more about YouTube creator tools by contacting user support here, and below are the steps to adding a subscribe button.

Adding a Subscribe Button

You've uploaded your video and are ready to share it on YouTube, but you want future content to be easy for your viewers to find. Adding a subscribe button can help guide viewers to your channel quickly. To allow viewers to subscribe, follow the steps below:

  1. Open YouTube Studio in your browser.
  2. Log into your account.
  3. Select "Customization" from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
  4. Click "Customize Channel" from the options provided.
  5. Select "Branding" from the options on the screen.
  6. Locate and click the "Video Watermark" option.
  7. Hit "Upload."
  8. Browse your computer to choose the image file you want to use for your subscribe button, and select the file you want to use.
  9. Select "Done" to upload the image file, and choose the display time in your video you want the button to appear from the following options:
    • At the end of the video
    • Throughout the entire video
    • Custom starting time
  10. Click "Save" to lock in your subscribe feature.

Once you've set a subscribe button using this method, it will appear on all the videos on that particular channel. If you are a creator with more than one YouTube channel, you will need to complete the above steps for each.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for YouTube Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like YouTube in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our How Can I Add a Subscribe Button to My YouTube Channel? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
