If you have a bank account with Truist, you can quickly and easily send money from your account to an account at another bank for no fee. You can use these transfers to keep your own accounts at different banks well funded, or you can use them to pay a creditor or send help to a friend or family member. Keep reading to learn how.
There are two kinds of electronic transfers you can use to move money from one bank to another: ACH transfers and wire transfers. Wire transfers are the fastest way to do it, but they typically involve both the sender and receiver paying steep fees. ACH transfers can take a little longer but don't cost you anything. And they're still pretty fast. When you send money within the United States with an ACH transfer, it will typically arrive no later than the next business day, sometimes even on the same day if you make the transfer early enough. International transfers typically take more time. How much time depends on the currency and country involved.
To send an ACH transfer, you need the Truist mobile app. Once you have it, follow these instructions:
Please note that if you need to link the receiver's account with your own, the process could take a couple of days, so make sure you start the process early enough for the money to still get there on time.
If you need any help sending the transfer or linking accounts, you can get it from a Truist customer service representative. To speak to one, you'll have to pick up the phone. There is no online customer service contact option.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
