Do you think someone might have stolen your T-Mobile phone, or perhaps you lost it while you were out? Don't worry, you can lock your device and track its location. We also recommend that subscribers suspend their service to avoid incurring additional charges. The next step is to obtain a replacement device if you have device protection, which helps you save money on the cost of a new phone. Did you lose a device? Go to iCloud or Open the Find My App

Do you have multiple Apple devices? You can simply open the Find My app to see your device's location. From there, you can also play a sound (if you think the device is nearby), report it as Lost so you can leave a phone number for the person who can find your phone, and then erase the data (this should be your last resort). Consider erasing the data only when you really can't find your phone, and you stored important data on your device.

Note: Make sure the Find My iPhone feature on your device is enabled. Otherwise, it will be difficult to find it.

If you have only one Apple device, simply log in to iCloud's Find page to view your device's location.

Sign in To Your Google Account

Do you have an Android device connected to your Gmail account? You can see its current location by simply logging in to https://android.com/find

From there, you can also play a sound to locate your device and secure it, preventing anyone from accessing the essential data stored on it.

For lost or stolen prepaid T-Mobile accounts, the service is automatically suspended if the account is in a 'Not Paid' status. You must also report it as lost or stolen, so the IMEI is blocked and no one can use the phone.

Log in to Lookout Life

Do you have a Lookout account? Tap Find My device to see its location. You can also select Scream and your device will sound an alarm, even in silent mode. It will really come in handy when your device is nearby, as the sound is extremely loud, and it will also vibrate. It won't stop "screaming" unless you turn it off.

Do you have T-Mobile's Family Where app? Use the next step to locate a family member's phone.

Sign in to T-Mobile

Go to your account and select 'Profile'.

Tap Family Controls

Click Family Where

Look for the mobile number or name of the family member to locate their device.

If you still can't find your device, it's best to suspend your service. Use the next step below.

Sign in to Your Account

Make sure you are the account holder.

Go to the Manage Tab and Choose See Plans

Choose the Device

You need to navigate to the security section and click Suspend Line Temporarily. Restore this only when you can find your device.

Conclusion

If unauthorized charges appear on your account and you haven't reported your phone as stolen yet, please do so immediately. You may dispute the charges, and T-Mobile will investigate the activities on your account and may remove the charges. If you have T-Mobile's device protection, file a claim within 90 days. You may be eligible for a replacement. Do you still have more questions regarding your lost or stolen T-Mobile phone? Refer to the steps above or contact T-Mobile's Customer Support as soon as possible to get a favorable resolution.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for T-Mobile Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
