T-Mobile is a telecommunications organization owned by a German company named Deutsche Telekom. The business has operations across many countries including the United States, the Czech Republic, Poland, and the Netherlands. T-Mobile offers its customers wireless mobile devices and wireless mobile plans. If you have lost or had your T-Mobile phone stolen, follow these few steps.

Attempt to Track Your Device

The first step you should take is to attempt to track your device. This process will differ depending on the brand of phone you have.

  • If you have an iPhone and have ‘Find My iPhone' activated, use this feature.
  • For Android phones, use either the Anti-theft or FamilyWhere apps.
  • For Blackberry phones, use the Blackberry Protect app.

Report Missing or Stolen Phone Online

If you have attempted to find your phone and can't locate it, or have confirmed it's been stolen, the next step is to contact T-Mobile.

  1. Go to https://www.t-mobile.com/
  2. In the top right corner of the screen, click on ‘My Account' and ‘Log In.'
  3. Sign in to your account with your email address or phone number and password.
  4. Go into your account details and select ‘Report a Lost or Stolen Device.'
  5. Follow the prompted instructions on the screen to complete the report.
  6. You'll receive an email confirming your phone has been reported as lost or stolen, and with details for your next steps.

Report Missing or Stolen Phone Via Phone

You can also call into the T-Mobile customer support line to report your lost or stolen phone. The customer service agent can block your IMEI to stop your device from being used by others. The representative will then walk you through your next steps, including your replacement options.

Visit a T-Mobile Retail Location

If you want a new phone right away, it may be best suited to visit a T-Mobile retail location. The T-Mobile employee can detail what your phone replacement options are and give you a new phone right on the spot (some fees may apply).

  1. Go to https://www.t-mobile.com/store-locator/locations-by-state
  2. Click on your state
  3. Click on the box that states ‘Find a Store.' Enter your zip, city, or state, and press enter.
  4. Find a retail location nearby that you can visit. Make sure to check the store hours before you plan your visit.
