How Do I Unlock My Binance Account?

Binance takes customer account security seriously, so there may be times you find your account has been locked due to suspicious activity, or you may have requested your account be disabled or locked for other reasons. Reopening a Disabled Account

If you have disabled your account and wish to reopen (unlock) it, you simply need to contact customer support and submit a help desk ticket requesting the account be reopened. Include a selfie with your identification and a written statement requesting the account be reactivated. You will need to include your full legal name as appears on your government-issued ID, your email address or phone number attached to your account, and your formal request to reopen it.

Unlocking a Locked Account

If the account has been locked by Binance, you need to submit a video to customer support asking the platform to unlock your account. Video requests are required as an added security measure to verify you are the correct account steward.

Tips for Submitting Your Video Request

When submitting your video to Binance, make sure you do the following steps to avoid delays in unlocking your account:

1. Sit directly in front of the camera with your full face visible. Make sure the lighting is good and there is no background noise to interfere with your statement.
2. Ensure sure your government-issued identification can clearly be seen in the video.
3. Hold a handwritten statement requesting the account be unlocked (make sure the writing is legible). In your statement include the following:
   • The current date
   • State "I am applying to unlock my account."
   • Confirm the "suspicious" activity was yours.
   • Restate you are contacting Binance to unlock your account and state your email address or phone number attached to your account.
     
4. Hold your government-issued identification and the above statement written in English in your video. Make sure these items are clearly visible in your video. If you are a non-English speaker, your written statement must still be in English, but your oral statement can be in your native language.
5. Submit your video and upload the identification documents you held in your video. In the written portion of your submission, include the following information:
   • Current date
   • Your full legal name
   • Written confirmation clearly stating the activity was yours
   • Statement or purpose (request to unlock account), and
   • Binance email address.
6. Answer the security question if prompted.
7. Binance will notify you via email when your account is unlocked.
