When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Sears phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Sears staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

Calling this Sears Customer Number

With Sears being a household name, consumers may call one of the company's customer service numbers for many reasons. The company sells everything from appliances to clothing and offers repairs for appliances, lawn equipment and other goods.

Shopping online means that some people may also check their order status. An individual may also inquire about Kmart orders by calling one of the Sears customer service numbers.

I called Sears at the 847-286-2500 customer service number to learn whether the company still sells Kenmore appliances, specifically washers and dryers, because I am almost ready to upgrade my current units. The automated voice response system thanked me for calling "TransformCo," followed by another term I couldn't understand.

Next, I heard a list of options for numbers to press to get information for the following areas: home services such as repairs and installs, warranties, Kenmore customer service, human resources, accounts payable, identity and fraud issues, and frequently requested phone numbers.

When I heard Kenmore mentioned, I knew the number was somehow associated with Sears. I pressed a number for the Kenmore option, and an automated voice said my call was important and to stay on the line to be transferred to the next available agent. After that statement, I listened to some piano music and subsequent messages about staying on the line. Because I didn't have time to waste, I ended the call.

I decided to call again to see if selecting another option might get me to someone who could answer my question. I heard the same menu options. However, during the second call, I did not make a selection. I got an operator who said "TransformCo" and what sounded like "direct your call," which was probably "How can I direct your call?" I asked if this was Sears Home Services, and the call dropped, leaving me listening to a disconnect tone.

The results I got by calling this number were not typical for a customer service number. It seemed to have options of interest to employees, vendors and others. This call was an unusual experience because I thought I had misdialed when the system identified the number as "TransformCo."

Following up the call with some online research, I learned that "Transformco" is a company that helps Sears and other companies with store closures and other business. It seems possible that people may be able to get help through this customer service number.

In my opinion, this number is not the one to call about the availability of Kenmore appliances or other products. Whoever is responsible for setting up customer service numbers for this entity should develop a more efficient and user-friendly option.
