i responded to a ad on letgo for a vehicle. I was told by the seller to send my name, address and phone number and someone from eBay motor buyer protection would contact me with how to proceed with purchase. i received email telling me to send the money via eBay gift cards for a total of $****. and once money was received the ****pping process would start. Then I receive a email telling me that the ****pping company needed another $**** to insure the vehicle and once I received the truck I would get my money back the $****. i wasn't going to put out any more money so i called and emailed eBay and seller to tell them i wanted to cancel order and a refund. neither one has contacted me. I have all the gift card numbers is there is a way to stop them from using them and a refund of my money back, i won't proceed with legal action. I think that someone in your company is involved in these types of transactions or it wouldn't look so real to everyday consumers. I have all emails from both eBay motors and the seller. Please let me know ASAP what your company is going to do about this, people are evently going to stop trusting your company for allowing scams like this to take place and your not doing anything to help the consumer.
I trust that eBay will make this right and come up with a resolution that is fair.
