I purchased 2 inflatable travel cushions which were advertised as suitable for airplanes. However, when I tried to use them on a flight with British Airways, they were not allowed. I contacted the seller upon returning and expressed my dissatisfaction. They initially offered a £3.00 refund, which I found inadequate given the misleading advertisement. I suggested a 50% refund, but they only offered £6.00. I declined this and mentioned escalating the issue to eBay. They then advised me to return the items at my own cost. I believe the problem lies in the misleading advertising rather than the suitability of the product, and I think the seller should cover the return postage. Any suggestions are welcome.

I run a shop on eBay called Startessa Shop. A few months ago, I faced difficulty logging in as it required a code sent to my old phone number. Despite my efforts over two months to reach out to eBay for help, I have been unable to resolve this issue due to the lack of customer service options available outside the UK. I am currently based in India and only have an Indian phone number. It is frustrating that I cannot access customer support without logging in, which I cannot do. I believe I should be refunded the shop fees for the months of inconvenience. It is exasperating not being able to address customer inquiries or update my shop with new designs. The obstacles to reaching eBay for assistance are causing me significant trouble and I find this situation unacceptable.

I bought a mobile phone on eBay that was working well until three days ago when the network got cut off. I can't make calls or use mobile data. Apple and my network provider discovered the phone was reported missing, making it unusable with any SIM card, likely for an insurance claim.
The seller agreed to a refund if I return the phone, but it's past the return policy on eBay. I feel scammed as the phone got blacklisted right after the 90-day mark. The seller suggested a private refund, but I'm unsure about its security. I prefer a refund through eBay for assurance.

Dear Sir,
I purchased a kingsize white faux leather bed from a seller in December [redacted] and initially, I was pleased. Unfortunately, the bed has significantly discolored to a yellow shade. As replacing the bed is not financially feasible for me at this time, I am hoping to exchange it for a different bed from the same seller.
I believe it would be reasonable to exchange the defective item, considering its discoloration within just 4 months of use. I reached out to the seller at the beginning of April but have not received a response.
I would greatly appreciate your assistance with this matter.
Yours sincerely,
Julia E.

I accidentally bought an item and immediately realized my mistake. I contacted the seller to request a refund. The seller is now demanding additional payment on PayPal to process my refund. Despite my requests, the seller has not canceled my order or refunded my money. The item has not been sent out yet, and I simply want a full refund.

I recently created my account on eBay and listed 3 items. However, my account has been restricted, and I have followed the recommended steps in the emails to resolve this issue with no success. I am unsure of what is causing the restriction and would like eBay to lift it so I can continue selling. The email instructions were vague, making it difficult for me to understand what went wrong. Please assist me in resolving this matter promptly.

I purchased a handheld computer from a seller and returned it via first class with tracking. I have a receipt to prove that he received it, but now he has blocked my computer so I cannot communicate with him to request a refund. He is avoiding refunding me. I want to report this seller for his behavior. The handheld computer was a 10.1-inch Android 11. He still has control over my computer even though he received it back via Royal Mail. I had to use my girlfriend's computer to contact you. Thank you.

I recently purchased a small double bed on eBay, but instead, I received a double bed which doesn't fit in my room. I requested a return and refund, and I paid £30 for the collection as requested. Despite the four-day wait, the item has not been collected, causing me to stay at home with no specific time slot for three days. This has inconvenienced me as I have a disabled child to take care of and need to arrange transportation for them. I had to book a taxi for those days and it has resulted in financial strain since I couldn't leave the house in fear of missing the collection. Being unable to work during this time has also impacted my ability to provide for my family. I am seeking assistance in resolving this issue with the seller and recovering the funds I've lost.

Hello, I am experiencing issues with payment on eBay. I have not received the necessary code to proceed with the transaction. I attempted to address this concern by contacting eBay previously and was given the assurance that it would be resolved. The customer service representative's contact number is 0[redacted]. I am disappointed that eBay has not yet resolved this simple matter, as inputting a code received on my mobile device should be a quick process. Can this be resolved promptly to alleviate my frustrations over the past few days? My contact number is 07[redacted]65, a number I have had since [redacted]. Thank you for your assistance. I recently purchased a phone using my account. I was pleased with the phone upon receiving it. However, when I tried to charge it last night, it wouldn't work. After contacting the seller for a refund and return process, I was directed to reach out to eBay. I explained my situation to the seller about not having a printer for the return slip, but they insisted I contact eBay for resolution. Since my current eBay account is not the one I used to purchase the phone and the payment was made using my mother's card, I am unsure how the refund process to the original account will proceed. I appreciate any guidance on how to handle this situation.

On July 24th, I purchased the P60 phone from Percentone. The item arrived two months later, but I found it faulty with only 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage instead of the advertised 16 GB of RAM and [redacted] GB of storage. After confirming the discrepancy with UK phone shops, I contacted Pricetone multiple times for the return address. Eventually, they offered a replacement. However, I have yet to receive the replacement after several attempts to follow up. Their responses also seem to have language barriers. I am now seeking a refund since it has been over 6 months. Thank you.
Best regards,

Last week, I experienced a temporary ban for non-payment issues, which was quickly lifted within 10 minutes after confirmation was sent via email. Recently, I encountered another ban notice after making an offer due to a perceived bad payment record, causing distress and embarrassment. This situation is particularly frustrating as I was in communication with the seller regarding an item. I am eager to resolve this issue promptly as I have already missed out on a previous purchase because of the initial ban. I would greatly appreciate it if this matter could be addressed soon so that I can proceed with making my offer. Thank you for your assistance. Sincerely, Vicky.

I have attempted multiple times to pay my seller fees but continue to encounter an error message prompting me to try again later. Despite reaching out to customer support in Albania, Ireland, and the payments department, the issue persists. Even though Ebay claims my Visa account is invalid, I assure you it is active as I use it regularly for transactions. I have received threatening emails about the suspension of my account and restrictions on purchasing, despite this issue not being due to any fault of mine. As someone in my mid-seventies who has always been financially responsible, this ordeal has greatly upset me. I kindly request for your assistance in resolving this matter, as I have exhausted all possible efforts on my end.
Regards,
J.W.

Hello. I bought an electric treadmill approximately four months ago, but I have been unable to use it as it only operates at a very slow speed. I have reached out to the seller multiple times, and after they collected the treadmill, it took nearly three months for it to be returned to me. Unfortunately, when I received it back, it was cracked, marked with dirty footprints, and was missing the remote, which is necessary for it to function. I have requested a full refund or a replacement, but the situation has not been resolved. I would appreciate your intervention in this matter. Thank you.

I recently ordered a wheelbarrow from a UK seller. The delivery was quick, but the box looked like it had been wrapped with tape and possibly returned by someone before being sent to me. Upon opening it, I found the pan was dented, there were no instructions, and one side had dents in the holes where the bolts go, making assembly impossible. I contacted the seller promptly, providing pictures of the damage and the shabby box it arrived in. I requested they collect this poor-quality item, refund my money, but have yet to receive a response. I believe it is eBay's responsibility to address this issue, not mine.

Hello,
I need assistance resolving an issue regarding an auction I won on April 13, [redacted], for an item priced at £83.45 with the item number 09-09[redacted]0. The item was listed as a House Clearance Job Lot Wholesale UK, consisting of 6 golden bars with serial numbers. The seller mentioned they were unsure if the bars were real or just plated as they hadn't been tested.
After three days, I noticed that the seller relisted the same item with identical serial numbers. I reached out to the seller seeking an explanation but received no response. Upon receiving the gold bars, I discovered they weren't even plated. Further research revealed that the same item with matching serial numbers had been sold at least 24 times under different seller names, indicating I fell victim to a fraud.
I initiated a refund case, but it was unexpectedly closed. I am eager to return the counterfeit gold bars and reclaim my money due to being a victim of fraud.
Thank you for your support.

I purchased an item as a guest, but it never arrived. To report this, I had to create an eBay account using the email "[redacted]" I am using now. After opening a case for the undelivered item and requesting a full refund, my account was unexpectedly suspended the next day. I am reaching out to eBay for assistance in retrieving my refund. The process from making the purchase to having my account suspended shortly after creating it, all while trying to get my money back, has been distressing.

Hello, I need assistance with a situation I encountered. On April 13, [redacted], I won an auction for an item priced at £83.45 with the item number 09-09[redacted]0. The item was described as 6 golden bars with serial numbers, part of an auction titled "House Clearance Job Lot Wholesale UK." The seller admits they never verified if the bars are real gold or merely plated.
Shortly after my purchase, I observed the same item, with identical serial numbers, listed again by the seller. Despite reaching out to them for an explanation, I have yet to receive a response. Upon examining the gold bars I received, I found they are not even plated. Researching further, I found the same item with the same serial numbers has been sold at least 24 times under various seller names, indicating I was a victim of fraud.
I initiated a refund, but the case was unexpectedly closed. I seek a refund as I have clearly fallen victim to fraudulent activity. Thank you for your attention and support.

I purchased a Hoover ceramic hob on eBay on April 18, [redacted]. Upon trying to install it, I discovered one screw-in clamp in the connector had a stripped thread, making it impossible to tighten securely. This is a safety hazard as loose contact can pose a fire risk. The special screws in electrical mains contacts are not replaceable as they are "captive screws" for safety reasons. The connector needs to be replaced entirely. Despite the connector being labeled as "obsolete," I found one for sale for £30 after extensive research. I have contacted the seller twice with no response. The hob was listed as "New (other)" and described as "ex-display," but it is clear that the damage was not due to display but rather mishandling during installation. This misleading description makes the sale potentially fraudulent or unsafe. Requesting eBay's assistance to resolve this matter with a £30 refund as returning the item would cost more due to my location. I am willing to provide a video demonstrating the faulty connector if needed. My aim is to return to cooking meals as before my original hob broke down. Thank you.

Hello,
I'm facing two issues.
1. I couldn't pick up a package from a drop-off point due to work reasons. The shop has sent it back using CollectPlus, but I can't reach them. Their website suggests contacting eBay. The seller hasn't received the item back. I'm worried about it getting lost. Can you assist me?
2. I am certain that I purchased a fake product advertised as genuine. Despite contacting the seller for a return, they are disputing the claim and not responding to me. Can you provide any help?
Thank you.
