The issue in GetHuman-jennybby's own words
For about * weeks now my original Xbox one cuts on but the screen immediately pops up “something went wrong”. I’m getting the System Error code: E***. After many consistent tries to restart or cut it off, it’ll occasionally let me through. However, it does take me many many tries before it responds properly. It’s definitely gotten to the point it won’t even let me passed the troubleshooting screen. I’ve followed every single step, I’ve restarted the Xbox many times, I’ve reset factory defaults (which it doesn’t even reset properly it just takes me back to the troubleshooting screen), I’ve unplugged the Xbox, done a hard reset, checked all cords, etc. So I’ve done everything possible and nothing has worked. I’m not sure if it’s defected and I just need a new one, but I don’t know why this is happening every single day.
