I just bought a smoothtop stove WFE***S*EW and have problem with the cooktop elements. The elements are *” and **” in diameter.. My saucepans are *.*” , a common size for most * and * qt. pans.*If I use the * inch elements, it takes **-** minutes to bring a pan of water to a boil which is a ridiculously long time. If I use the larger element, there is a wide ring of exposed element around the pan which wastes electricity and heats up the kitchen. *What suggestions do you have to solve the problems? *I have used electric stoves for ***years without encountering the problem, since the large coil elements were *” in diameter.
I trust that Whirlpool will make this right and come up with a resolution that is fair.
