Send money to my mom in Florida for a plane ticket to Chicago for Thanksgiving. Attempted * times. ... FYI, I filed a BBB and a Government ,Consumer Financial Protection Bureau complaint case number ******-******* against Walmart Money Card and Green Dot. I sent money $***.** to my Mother on **.** and she never received a code to claim it. I response I sent another $***.** on **.** and my mother received a code but was unable to collect it due to an error stating the daily limit had been exceeded. Since the daily limit was no where near exceeded I went into your online software and tried to cancel both transactions. This did nothing so I took screen shots of each attempt and the error codes. I called the number listed on the back of the card and after many minutes of poor customer service, I was told that this issue would go to tech support and I would hear back in * business day. It is now ********** and since I heard nothing I called again to the number on the back of the card. I was told I needed to send screenshots of the failed attempts to cancel the transactions. Well, I sent them to the Federal Government and BBB for your information and they are included in the complaint to the CFBP. At no time did ANYONE reach out to me for this information (Screenshots) and at no time has anyone actually tried to resolve this issue. Your software does not work, your system has flaws re receipt of funds, and for some reason your systems said the limits of up to $**** within ** days was reached. The money sent was for a Plane ticket (My Mother) to Chicago that never happened and I intend to take this issue as far as I possibly can with State and Federal Regulatory oversight. You ruined my Thanksgiving Holiday and your money transfer system cannot be trusted. I demand a phone call at ***-***-**** (Cell), or my work number ***-***-**** by someone who can actually do something to resolve the issue. I expect some kind of compensation for all the stress , loss of a family holiday, and the poor customer service . *The account number is *************I will be expecting your call or I will be forced to file complaints to the CFPB again regarding the conversation today with your outsourced "Customer Service". Customer Service Agents from the number on the back of the card are outsourced and useless. Funds are in limbo due to Walmart Money Card failed software. The promises of contact from "Tech Support or the agents' are not kept.
Funds returned to my account and compensation for the lost family holiday due to Walmart Money Card issues in the software.
I filed a cfpb.gov ( Us Government Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) and BBB complaints. I provided screen shots of all attempts to cancel the transactions and the errors received.
