I want my $*.** delivery fee refunded. My order was late. (Ordered at *:** with a **-** minute delivery window). Called restaurant at *:** because the order was still pending pickup (i.e. there was no way it could have met the *:** latest time of the delivery window). Restaurant told me the order was ready for ** minutes but no one had picked it up. I called UberEats Customer service. The rep had to call and find the delivery partner and put me on hold for several minutes. He then told me to call back when the order was received so that I could be compensated for my inconvenience. Order was received at *:**- ** minutes after ordering- ** minutes beyond the maximum delivery window.**Upon calling at *:**, I was told I was ineligible for compensation (**% off) and the previous rep gave me false information. **I do not need or want **% off. I want some form of accountability. A refund of the $*.** delivery fee- or a voucher toward my next order would be more than adequate. However the notion that welcoming my feedback (which demands more of my time) is an appropriate response is outrageous. I would like Uber to take ownership of its mistakes:**) Late delivery**) Being given incorrect information by a customer service representative.**I am also very curious about the mysterious "Late Delivery Policy" which makes my order ineligible to be considered for compensation. Late is late. Math is math. At what point does Uber take responsibility for its promises to the consumer? .
