Okay so I just got this phone a month ago at Metro PCS in my name and downloaded the Uber App but apparently it won't let me create a account because it says my number is already in use. I've only had the number for a month so it had to be the person that had the number before me. There is literally no way I can see from the bit of research I did on Google that tells me there's a way to fix this. It says the only way to fix it is to have the person who had this cell phone number before me log in his account and delete it. Which completely freaken ***** because there's no way to know who owned this phone number before me and tell them "Oh hey could you delete your account now that you don't have the number anymore?" **What I want done is to have the number deleted from there system as a number in use that way I can register it in my name. I'd like it to have my real number in there that way it will let me know when my ride is here or if there's a issue with the ride and it needs to contact me. I just don't see why you can't verify that you want the account deleted by txt msg proving that you own that number...... They can call me, txt me, look at my phone bill that states that I payed my bill or whatever ...! I just want my number to work on Uber so I can use Uber! Thank you * !*'-
