Trying to have my mail sent from the UPS store in California to the residence where I am currently staying in Maryland. ... * months of my mail was forwarded all together in a large envelope with a Priority Mail label on it from a UPS store in Del Mar, CA to a residence address in Bethesda, MD on March **, ****. Twelve days later, on March **, **** an open, unsealed envelope arrived in Bethesda, MD with only one newsletter in it as all of the other mail must have fallen out. Since it would have been sealed, addressed mail that fell out during the mailing process, what would have happened to the mail? Would the mail have been sent back to the original addressed recipient (me in California) or would it have been returned to the sender(s) or possibly discarded? The resolution I am seeking is to receive the sealed mail that would have fallen out of the envelope addressed to me and my other housemate and to find out if there is any action I need to take for this to happen. The tracking * of the package that took ** days to be sent from ***** to ***** was **********************. Thank you in advance for your help!
No sort of notification was provided upon delivery of the open envelope when there had been an obvious problem. (open mail & taking ** days for *-day priority mail).
Assuring me that the addressed mail that fell out will end up being re-routed back to me.
I have been a customer of USPS for ** years.
