I was told to by customer service that I could buy an iphone * unlocked for TracFone (cdma) from a buyer like Amazon or Ebay and take to Walmart (BYOP,bring your own phone) and purchase the Plan for text*talk*data and service date length I wanted: which was for *** days of service with **** text **** talk and *.* GB data @ $***.**. I will find the phone I want on Ebay and take to Walmart and purchase plan and they will do the rest (activation). I am asking for a new phone *, so I will still have the Verizon plan (mthly) that my husband and I share, until I am sure this new phone will work well in our rural area in VA. Then my husband will get the same type smartphone I get and we will cancel our mthly plan with Verizon, which was $** for two flip phones. waaay too much for basic phones. we decided it was time to move up to smartphones, although we will not use the data (internet) but lightly. We each have an Apple PC at our home and are familiar with the browser and layout, so that is the reason we chose Iphones, plus the fact that they are very solid, reliable devices.
