Check to make sure you've entered the number correctly and that the number is within a supported calling area (US or Canada), or if it's an international call, make sure you have an active TextNow plan that supports international calls.

TextNow may block accounts connected to VPNs as part of their security measures to prevent fraudulent activities. A VPN can mask the actual location and IP address of the user, which may make account activity look suspicious. To regain access to your account, you should disconnect from the VPN and then contact TextNow's customer support team to explain the situation and request that they unblock your account. If your phone number was recently released, it could still be available. You can attempt to retrieve it by going to your TextNow account, navigating to the settings, and looking to see if it's possible to change your phone number back to the old one. Remember, this is not assured and depends on availability.
