Let me start by saying I receive WIC for my kids. It’s already uncomfortable enough to*Use the checks when people are staring at you and judging you by the help you need.*Last night I went to my local target and*Stood in line for **-** minutes, when it was my turn to checkout, the cashier said she needed a manager to watch her do the transaction. I said ok. She called for help and at least * employees came or yelled at separate times to see if it was something they could help with. She was shouting across the check outs that it’s a WIC and other employees were saying things like “oh, that *****.” “Yikes” and just making faces that go along with those. The manager was working guest services so it took another **-** minutes for him to come over and watch the cashier do the transaction. I don’t usually go to target for my sons formula but I can say I definitely won’t be doing it again. I probably won’t be shopping there anymore after that experience. Also, I have never been to a store that has a manager watch over your shoulder when it’s a WIC transaction. I personally think that’s ridiculous. I just don’t want employees to make people feel uncomfortable for needing help.
