The issue in GetHuman-raffingo's own words
I arrived at Malaga Airport almost an hour before the check in closed **.**, flight was FR**** due to take off **.**. I joined the queue for check in at **.**. There was a long queue at the desk and it was some ** minutes later that I relised time was getting short. and there were still a few in front of me. I waited another * minutes and spoke with someone who said that there was now a late check in open, I could not see this as there was a pillar betwenn that desk and myself, so I left the queue I was in and went to the late check in desk. There were two people in front of me, they checked in their baggage and I moved toward the desk. The time was exactly **.**. I was then told that the check in was now closed for hold baggage. I pointed out to her that the time on the ticket is **.** so how can it be closed. Plus the fact that I had been queueing for over ** minutes in total and it was not my fault as I begun to queue in plenty of time, so I thought. She was very apologetic and said that it was not her fault that is what she was told to do. She advised me to go to security and they would let me through. I was not happy with this as I am partially disabled and could not manage the suitcase and two peices of hand luggage all the way down to security. She then asked if I would like assistance to which I said yes please I think I better had thank you. I waited on a seat and a young lady with a wheelchair came up and asked my name. She then took me to the disabled security desk and I knew that my case was now going to be rifled through as I had two bottles of very expensive wine within the case. I went through the detector and my luggage was going through the xray. The lady who sat at the seat got up and asked me politely to open the case which I did with no complaints.*I stood back and let her get on with what she had to do. I am not at all exagerating when I say that some of my things were being thrown around like rag doll. A couple of personal items went on the floor and they watched me struggle to bend down and pick them up. By the time she had finished the bottles of wine were confiscated and all my shaving stuff was placed in the bin. I realise that as it was security I had no issue with them taking belongs off of me. When we eventually passed through security I was told that my flight had been delayed in any case! which it was by about an hour. My issue here is this. The closing time for check in on my ticket stated it was **.**, then why was I told at **.** that it was closed? If they had checked my luggage in as they should have according to the time on my ticket I would not have had to forfeit my two bottles of **Euros expensive wine as my case would have gone through the normal baggage chanels as it always has previously. I am extremely unhappy with the in which I was treated as a whole. I have two more flights booked with ryanais this month and if I could cancel them I would.
