If your checked bags don't appear on the carousel or they're damaged when you collect them, you must report the problem before leaving the airport.
Find the Lost Property Desk, which is usually located inside the main baggage claim hall or in the public concourse just outside the customs area. If you can't locate lost property, ask at the information desk or speak with a member of airport staff.
At the lost property desk, make a report about the baggage issue. You may need to provide personal details, such as your name, address, and flight details.
Once the report has been made, you will receive a Property Irregularity Report, or PIR. This contains a 10-character reference written at the top, for example, DUBFR56780.
You need this PIR file number to file a claim with Ryanair and trace the progress of your luggage if it's delayed, so don't leave the airport without it.
If your baggage is damaged, delayed, or lost while in the care of Ryanair, you could be entitled to compensation.Damaged: The cost of repairs or a replacement bag or suitcase.Delayed: Out-of-pocket expenses for essential items while waiting for your luggage, such as toiletries, underwear, and medications.Lost: The value of the lost bag and its contents.
If you believe you're entitled to compensation, you must make a claim within the time limit:Damaged Baggage: Within 7 days from the date of the damage.Misplaced Baggage: Within 21 days of arrival.

Scroll down to find Take an action. Click the arrow on the right and select Make a claim from the dropdown menu.
Click on either Baggage - Damaged or Baggage - Delayed or lost depending on the issue.
Follow the on-screen instructions to file a claim. You'll need your 6-digit booking reference, 10-character reference from the PIR, and copies of receipts or proof of purchase.
Ryanair will contact you via email with its decision on your claim, so monitor your inbox for any messages. The claims process takes around 15 working days for damaged and delayed baggage and up to 28 days for a lost bag.

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible.
