What are the hours and when should I call?

Regions Bank operates the call center for this 800-734-4667 phone number Mon-Fri 8am-5pm ET. The short answer is that you should call on a Wednesday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 739 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).

Automatically call when they open

When you use our free AI-powered phone to call and talk, wait on hold, or navigate for you, it will automatically wait until the Regions Bank call center opens before trying to call. It will ask your permission before it places the call, so you can also further delay that scheduled call until you are ready. But that means you can "set it and forget it" ahead of time.
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Regions Bank phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Regions Bank staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Regions Bank is Wednesday. The most busy day to call is Friday, which averages 124% more phone calls by comparison. Again, this is based on a sample of 739 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Monday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Friday.
But if you use our free call and talk for me or wait on hold for me service, you don't really need to worry about average wait times.

The best time to call Regions Bank

In summation, the best day to call Regions Bank is Wednesday. This is not the day with the shortest wait on hold in the phone system, but we still recommend it for its ideal combination of low call volume and short hold times. Plus we believe that Regions Bank staffs the call center well on Wednesday.

Calling Regions Bank is fairly straightforward, as the automated system can be a great way to find branches in your area. When I called, I was asked for the purpose of my call and was given several different options. I chose branch information, and I was told that I could select from several different options to find the branch I wanted.

My list of choices included things such as ATM locations only, full branches and branches that had availability on Saturdays. I selected branches that were open on Saturdays, and I was taken to a menu where I could select the city or zip code where I wanted to find a branch.

I chose to use the city setting first and selected Tallahassee, Fla. The system gave me the full hours of its one location in Tallahassee, along with address, days open and available services. The system repeated the information a second time and asked if I wanted to speak to someone at the local branch. I then opted to go back to the previous menu and test another location, this time entering the zip code for Bealeton, Va.

This time, the system told me that no locations were available for the city I had chosen and automatically took me back to the previous menu. With no other need for information, I opted to hang up and end the call.

Overall, I thought this was a very helpful and informative automated system. The system was easy to navigate, and I had no problem getting the information I needed. Once I was connected, the system made sure I had the information and even offered to connect me straight to someone if I needed help over the phone. Based off this interaction, I would definitely use this number if I needed assistance from Regions Bank.
