I drove ** miles to a Walmart to pick up an order. When I arrived, the Walmart employee attended me and told me to wait a bit while he checked on the order I was going to pick up. **-** minutes later he comes back and tells me since they’re backed up, it’ll take ** minutes to an hour before I can get the order. So, that’s when I contacted the customer to let them it’ll take a while before I drop off her order. She told me she wasn’t home anymore because for the past hour before I even accepted the pickup, she was trying to cancel the order through Postmates but was unable to, she also tried calling Walmart but they had her on hold for that amount of time so she wasn’t ever able to cancel. Since she couldn’t cancel, I had to cancel it through my end since she wasn’t going to be able to receive the order anyways. I wasted ** miles of gas and almost an hour of my time and received $* obviously. Is there anyway I can get money back for the ** miles I drove and the amount of waiting time I put in, for something that wasn’t my fault?
