I had to cancel a fast food order almost * hours after I ordered it. I contacted Postmates at *.* hours after ordering because such a wait time is absolutely unacceptable. Upon my inquiry from which i received no contact i saw in the app that the food “being picked up”. I contacted the Postmates who stated that she had to make a turn and then shed be a block away from the restaurant which is a about *-blocks away from my hotel. Mind you I am familiar with downtown baltimore. She effectively mislead me by saying something to the effect of traffic being exceptionally bad this evening, asking even if I had heard what had been going on in the news that caused it. She lied. I then asked if she could walk to the restaurant grab my order and bring it to me. Which could have lasted no more than ** mins. She replied by rudely challenging me with “umm where do you expect me to park this?!” THE FACT REMAINS that Postamates Support or the Post to me incorrectly change the status of my order as to being picked up from being prepared it was a while but it was like does prompting me to reach out again this time to the post man Friday then realize I had the ability to contact her. it was in doing so that I was able to gather all this information and realize that between lies laziness and incompetence not to mention argumentativeness I made the decision to cancel order that should’ve arrived an hour and a half prior even under the circumstances. I set up because a friend of mine who is here at the time arrived for me to ask him about the traffic and he actually said it was later than usual. So I canceled the order, only to read that I’m getting charged more than I was charge for food that never was going to come, at least prior to having to leave for *:** PM engagement and the food was ordered at * PM.I fully recognize post mates right to refuse the issuance of a refund, however, not doing so given the circumstances would be ****** and if it is not refunded I will cancel my subscription and delete the app for good. Thank you
